The Lars Nysom Salt and Pepper Mills are absolutely fantastic! The quality is outstanding—they feel sturdy, grind smoothly, and allow for easy adjustment of coarseness. The design is sleek and modern, and the immaculate packaging makes them a perfect gift (which I’ve already done!). These have quickly become a kitchen essential for me. Functional, stylish, and built to last—definitely one of my best purchases this year!

Before these we had some of those mills with a narrow glass waist but they broke because the grinder part was only secured by brittle plastic and this plastic snapped.Sadly there is no information or image with these new ones on how the grinder is secured this time, but we have high expectations as overall they seem to be nicely engineered. With the previous pepper grinder there was always a need to keep the chamber full for weight and to shake the peppercorns into the mechanism every few seconds. Even then there was only a small amount of ground pepper for each rotation of the grinder. With this new one, however, the grinder loads without any juggling and as a consequence each turn of the grinder produces plenty of pepper. Be cautious if you too have got used to an inferior design as this one produces a lot of pepper for each rotation and it would be easy to make too much. There is of course a place to store any unused ground pepper but it's better just to learn how efficient this one is.We bought the taller versions of these mills because of our experience with the older cinched-waist mills needing a weight of pepper or salt to press into the grinder mechanism but now that we've seen how well this design loads itself the shorter units probably would have been perfectly adequate.Holding and using the mill is comfortable as it's just a cylinder without the waist. The material and finish used is pleasant in the hand with a subtle matt quality and a cool touch.Since it is pretty minimalist in design there was a concern that it might be possible to get confused about which was the top and which the bottom when putting these away in a dark cupboard where the printing may be hard to see, but it seems there is a very subtle curve on one side that makes it clear that it should not be stored on that end because it would cause a slight wobble. This is very subtle poka yoke design. On the other side it is flat and even recessed. This and other understated features mean that a partially sighted or blind person might be able to operate these salt and pepper mills without too much trouble.There is no difficulty in prising off the lid (base) on the chamber for the grounds and so far no problems with the lid becoming loose either. On the other end (the top) there is a slightly fatter disc that is just big enough to grip with the fingers and a small gap between this and the storage chamber for the unground salt or pepper. This gap is slightly bigger than the gap around the cap on the other end. This indicates that the fatter disc unscrews for loading the pepper corns (or salt crystals). It only takes a gentle, partial turn to smoothly unscrew the top. The designers could easily have made this flush with no gap but it appears that they deliberately left the gap as a hint to users that it unscrews there. Once open there is a funneling effect where a larger opening, almost as big as the disc, leads to a smaller hole which is about half the diameter and the size of the threaded part. This funnel leads to the unground contents that are being loaded into the chamber not getting hung-up.

Was looking for a nice gift for some cool modern grinders and these were perfect.The quality was nice and the look's great. They function well and you can change the size of the grind.They do show fingerprints if your hands are greasy from cooking, but that is fairly easy to clean off.

I bought these in July 2023 and really liked them. Seemed very solid and I like that you fill them from the top and they are easily adjustable. After a little over a year of regular use (I put pepper on everything) the pepper grinder broke because there are three plastic tabs on the inside that hold the grinder in place. While using it the other day the tabs broke off and the grinder part falls out. The grinder is ceramic but I don't see any stainless steel parts on this except for the screw for adjusting the coarseness of the grind. The salt grinder is still working for now.

A solid glass container with a beautiful (Berry Red) color.It also has a Ceramic grinder that should definitely last awhile.My daughter loves them. An excellent bang for your buck :)

Very nice quality combined with a nice look and feel. Good ergonomics. Very easy to load, hold and use. Good range of adjustment from coarse to fine grind. And the output is plentiful. You won't be cranking this for a full minute to get results.I bought the black and white pair in the 7 inch height. I think that's a great choice for a home kitchen and dining table. The 7 inch has plenty of capacity and are easy to spot on a counter or a table. The 11 inch version belongs in restaurants only in my opinion.A little expensive for salt and pepper shakers but these look like they'll last 20 years in home setting so, not that bad in the big picture.

These are perfect! The black is beautiful. Adjustable grind feature works perfect. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

These grinders came very well packaged with each grinder individually wrapped to avoid scratches on the finish, which is matte and easy to grip. The deep rose colour is beautiful and the elegant streamlined look makes them stand out in my kitchen.Loading through the top is super easy and the knob to adjust the size of your ground pepper is found at the bottom hidden under the black cap. I really love this design feature, as the knob on top of most grinders really looks ugly to me.This set is a bit pricey, but feels really well built and I expect I'll be using them for years to come. 10/10 would recommend.

When these came they were a bit larger than I thought they would be, but to be honest it turned out to be a plus, as you don't have to fill them up as often. There is a smaller version but I'm glad I got the larger ones. They are adjustable for the grind you like, easy to fill and look very good on a table.
