I bought this with the Larsen D string. Both sound amazing on my cello!! They have a warm and professional sound. In spite of not being able to buy the Larsen Magnacore strings, since 3/4 size does not exist, these were the next best choice. My family also notices the difference from the old strings I had on there (name brand will not be mentioned to prevent insulting anyone). Definitely a great investment! I highly recommend buying them. Larsen makes great quality strings.

It must have been a faulty string. Our teacher has a phd in cello. I assume she knows what she is doing. The string snapped when she tried to put it on. She was as surprised as we were.

This string sounded beautiful. I couldn't wait to play it. BUT it broke within two hours of being on the cello. I am ordering another one in hopes this was a big fluke.
