These strings are really great. My sound is much cleaner and clearer and also they really boosted the volume. They ring out. I am loving them and they have been on for over a month...I sound great! Worth the money if you have it. I am a professional musician in Alameda, Ca.

I really like the upper register sound, it projects well without being harsh. The G abs C strings have kinda metallic sound, but I am gradually in love with them.

The Magnacores are definitely not worth the money in my opinion. I have been using the Soloist Edition for decades and was curious to try these. Long story short, I put my old strings back on. The tone was very muted and felt weak. Definitely not as responsive as the Solos either. These might feel like an upgrade if you’re using lower quality strings, but if you’re a seasoned player like myself, you may be disappointed. I certainly am. The seller was excellent, no problem there.

I absolutely love these strings on my 95-year-old cello. They enhanced it's already warm sound, but increased the clarity drastically.

I love Larsen magnacore strings as they provide a warm and focus sound, I have a set on my cello right now. That being said I was looking to replace my strings and I decided to purchase these because of their lower price hoping that there wasn’t a catch. I was mistaken because I was made to believe the strings would be new, not opened and used. The c string was already experiencing fraying and the a and d string had been put through pegs and tuned because of their shape. The packaging was not the original packaging and the seals were open. If you need strings, buy them from a violin shop as you can guarantee you’ll be getting new good strings. I plan on returning them the same day I received them.
