I used these on my German cello (Roderich Paesold). I was amazed by just how much these strings brought out the true tone of my cello. I did change my A and D to Medium gauge for a softer touch on the high end, but the strong gauge is good for volume. I used to like Spirocore on the low end. Spirocore has a more direct and edgy sound as the Magnacore has a smooth deep sound. You have to allow at least a week of break in time on the low end, and maybe a day or two on the A and D. Overall, I would replace my strings in 8 mounts to a year with these strings.

Love them love them love them!!! I have a complete set on my cello. They took several hours of playing to warm up, but now they're beasts! Great, even sound. Worth every penny!
