These cone/basin washers have a threaded inner diameter that accommodates the corrugated stainless steel water lines from may older style integral supply line shut-off valves. My 80's vintage house uses these everywhere and the copper pipe stubbed out from the wall is too short easily put in new shut-off valves without tearing into the wall to solder on longer stubs. I keep extras of these washers on hand just in case because the local home centers don't carry them.

Worked for what I needed them for. I bought an item that didn’t come with those so thankfully I was able to find them here as the stores didn’t carry them.

These washers used to be very common in all the hardware stores, but impossible to find nowadays since all the new under the sink water tubes comes with built in washers and nuts. Amazing, I went to Home Depot, Lowes and even specialized plumbing stores, and most, if not all, of the employees have no clue what was I looking for. They all point me to the new tubes, which is useless in my case because my copper water tubing is welded to the side of the shut-off value under the sink. If you have an older home, you will need these types of washers if you can't switch to the new tubes. Nothing much to say other than they were very inexpensive back then (like a dollar or so) and works like it should with copper water tubes. Definitely cheaper than replacing the water tube.

I changed 3 faucets and went to the local hardware store for this item and none had them in stock. They wanted me to buy 100 dollars worth of new shut off valves and flex hoses to connect from water source to faucets. I saved 70 dollars by buying these on line.

I needed some replacement washers for my sink and they work great.

The photo of the product is very misleading on the product description. The OD of the actual product is much too large for today’s fittings. The outer shape is also a bell shape and not the angular look from the product photos. The ID is correct for old corrugated style flex hose but the OD issue makes this product worthless. Very disappointing.
