Sold by: AmazonShipped by: Amazon Prime As others have noted, even though the pictures show chromed valve seats, these are plain brass. Not a fan of all 25 packed loose and rattling around against each other in the container. A couple had some minor nicks on the seat surface. They PROBABLY would work OK as is, but when you're trying to fix a leak, why take the chance. Amazon should use actual pictures of brass seats (not chromed ones)....Lasco should package them to protect the seat surface...(maybe threaded onto a paper/plastic "dowel" with paper spacers between the valve seats.

The seats I received were not chrome plated. For some this may not be important as you can't see the chrome when the faucet is assembled. My water , however, is somewhat corrosive and if they are not chromed they just don't last and they leak as the seating surface corrodes away. Haven't seen chromed ones for sale in quite a while now. I'll just have to replace them about every two years.

I hate it but the phenomenon is everywhere. They posted a picture is kind of best but they actually send you is inferior. I should return it but I used one. In the web shopping we all depend on the picture to make a judgement. I hope the platform create a way to crack down on those unfaithfulness.

They were brass as others have said. They were not plated as shown. The count was correct. There were 25 in the package
