It is chemically treated to allow toner to adhere more strongly, as well as heat treated to reduce the amount which the paper shrinks (which reduces the chance of paper jams). Laser Teslin is not meant to be used in any kind of Inkjet printers.

A must have for your backcountry needs. I have used this paper for multiple custom topographic maps printed on an inkjet printer. After giving it a few hours to cure, the ink binds to the paper and renders the map completely water resistant. I have both folded my maps as well as rolled them and have not experienced any wear yet. To achieve the best possible printing quality I set my printer to high quality on top of changing the paper type to premium matte as it does have sort of a matte/satin texture.

Make sure to set your printer to the right settings. The ink did smear when I highlighted some text. It is hard to destroy the paper though so that's good. Also, just FYI it is the same thickness as 90-100 lb cardstock but it's more flimsy like paper. So sort of like resume paper.

Works as advertised. I combined this product with the butterfly pouches sold by the same company along with their ID laminator and the results were very professional looking.

I would love to give this product 5 stars but it just doesn't make it. It is labeled as "ink jet" and "Waterproof once ink has dried". I printed it on a Brother LC103 inkjet printer 5 days ago and the ink still smears. There were no instruction in the package and I can't find anywhere that specified how long the drying period needs to be for it to be waterproof but I think 5 days is a more than reasonable amount of time to wait. The good news is that it worked perfectly in my laser printer. Totally waterproof right away.

Beware: not all perforated Teslin is made equally and may not line up with different templates. I have purchased 3 times now and find it best to use the template by the people who make the paper. You can always use a free badge maker program to create, then copy over.SUPPORT: I got stuck on trying to put logos on a colored background - something totally outside their control, but their on-line customer service person helped me, found a program on line that would allow me to convert the images, then stayed on-line with me until I was successful. Million dollar service for a $25 product!
