I have a small home hobby machine shop and occasionally pick up scraps of metal hear and there to use for small projects where specific metal properties are not all that important. As such, I got a few bars of round stock that seems to be really hard stuff which regular HSS turning tools have a tough time gnawing through. I haven’t used them yet, but this turning bar with carbide inserts should make machining those mystery metal bars of round stock, down to size relatively easy. For less than $20, this set is well within the budget for any small hobby shop.

I don't consider this a threading tool the inserts don't have a small and sharp enough tip to cut threads. However, it is a very nice tool for general turning and lathe work. The 10 inserts should last a very long time.
