This rim was just what I needed. My LP quinto came with the original comfort curve rim. However even though the rim was designed to be more forgiving than the original traditional style rim, it's design was still bulky and punishing to my hands if i struck it instead of the head. Ouch! When i decided to get this LP734A comfort curve 2 "x" rim, it fit the drum right and the head fit perfectly too. Now i have recently upgraded the head to a REMO FIBERSKYN synthetic head. So with this new addition my hands take less of a beating and the music sounds really good.
