This manual aerator is for anyone that has a very small yard to do or someone with extreme patience. The materials feel solid enough but the way it's assembled feels like it could have been better engineered. Installing the numerous spikes was tedious and unnecessary. It should have come with the spikes pre-installed or better yet should have been welded in for better enduring quality. I feel like this is a weak point with each spike held in with just a simple bolt. The pole comes in 4 separate pieces and needs to be screwed together. I'd rather it be just one piece, again for better quality, but I understand that it's easier to ship this way. Otherwise, it works well enough especially for the price.

This is a handy tool for reinvigorating some hard and compacted areas of your lawn. Make sure you use this when the ground is a bit softer, not wet but not hard and you’ll have good luck. It will allow more moisture to enter the ground and give the roots of your grass air and room to grow. It took some assembly and I would recommend some patience as each tine takes a nut to secure.

Give yourself about 10-15 minutes to put together. Solid build and should last for a very long time. You will most likely have to tighten the bolts over time.

I had to really struggle to get the spikes into the ground I think it was just the larger tubes on the side. At one point I tried to force it down somehow it popped up at me and I have a bruise on my hand. I think we just have really tough ground. I tried stepping in the center to get it down as well and that wasn't working well some places I had to just skip. From forcing into the ground I had bruised the palms of both of my hands as well

Does an awesome job aerating. This is heavy duty, well constructed, sturdy and durable. Assembly was quick and easy. Very sharp. This is very helpful!
