Light blue is new, dark blue is old original in pictures. New replacement is much tighter, original is loose and falling off after all the engine heat. Wish this was made of something more substantial like metal or nylon. Seems like a lesser value when you pay $10 every couple of years just to have an assurance that a rock or debris doesn’t knock the valve open. Obviously the margin is crazy high but it’s the same price on their website when you factor in shipping. You get it faster via prime. But again the price for something plastic and cheap that can ship inexpensively but doesn’t makes me feel like a fool. Oh well. This is the new world I guess.

As others have said, you get one of these guys when you buy the valve. Doesn't hurt to have a spare in the very unlikely event your original goes missing. When I bought the valve, I was concerned of the lever moving and my truck becoming a four wheel version of the Exxon Valdez. After getting the valve, I now know that's next to impossible.

I bought a Fumoto Valve for the oil pan on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and could not tell that this clip was already included. Now I have a spare in case I ever lose the other one.

It's an expensive piece of plastic that does what it's supposed to do. I didn't realize that one of these clips is already include with a SX series valve so I purchased this clip by accident. At least I have an extra.

Very brittle after a short time. They snap as I was remove them gently. This is the 3rd one that has broken in the past 5 oil changes. They don’t break when brand new, but they will after exposure to heat under normal driving conditions.
