Vivid, easy-to-read display that can be flipped for lefties. Good use of color and font-size to highlight important info in the display. Great for a quick value check and initial placement before soldering components. Pretty accurate compared to my LCR meter.

Works great for RLC testing (Resistance, inductance, and capacitance) and the ability to vary the frequency for ESR measurements on capacitors can be handy for debugging failed capacitors.The big complaint (and reason for fewer stars) is that Diode testing is limited to 0.6V forward drop or less. In practical terms, this means you cannot use this tester to check polarity and functionality for LEDS (typically 1.2-3.6V drop)I will still mostly use my similarly priced Mastech MS8910 for testing during SMD assembly because it can check nominal values for capacitors, resistors, and diodes (including LEDS), and I will use this LCR meter only for inductors and frequency dependent LC tests

This comes in a nice quality case. The screen is easy to read. I love that it's compact so you can use with just one hand. Definitely worth the money. I really like the design of this makes it easy to get the measurements.

This seemed like a great option for testing the 9 caps on my treadmill's 6x5 inch motor control board (caps were discharged before starting). Immediately downloaded the 1.8 firmware update (a nice feature). The problem seemed to be very inconsistent readings for resistance when testing in-circuit and resistance should be considered in conjunction with uF readings to confirm if the cap is on its way out. Whether you have an LCR or ESR meter, apparently you have to remove the cap from the board if its circuitry is connected to a nearby cap (that assessment of the circuit board isn't always easy for a novice like me). So, I ended-up having to desolder all 9 caps anyway to get more accurate readings. My DMM always seems to be 10% higher and most likely more accurate in uF, but worthless in measuring resistance. I only trust this LCR for giving me a resistance #, but if I have to pull the cap to bench test, I'm simply going to replace the cap for

as a owner and purchaser of the DT71 i like it a lot but i cant read the display, so i bought this and gosh it reads fast and its pretty accurate love the large display a must-have in the testing department of any micro board specialist

Quite a bit of capability in such a small package. The readings are pretty close to what i get on my other LCR meter. I am experimenting with adding alligator clips to the tips of the probes, not soldered, just clipped on. The readings are slightly affected by that but not by much.

This is a handy tool in that it can be operated with only one hand unlike traditional testers where you need to hold the two probes with both hands. While testing its accuracy against my Fluke meter, I find that it is very close with its readings. Close enough for basic testing of components. I almost took off one star as I would have liked more accuracy.This LCR Smart SMD meter is very easy to use and it comes in a nice storage case and has some extra probes too. It is USB rechargeable. I like that it has an auto-identification mode which would be really handy for electronic hobbyists who might not correctly identify the component that they want to test.One thing to keep in mind is that in almost every case, components must be tested out of the circuit. Otherwise, you can get all kinds of strange readings.All things considered, it's a very nice LCR meter and it's handy to have. I was not sure if I should give it 4 or 5 stars, but due to the low price of this meter, I went with 5-stars. If you want something better and more accurate, you'll have to spend more money.

Product was received with a 34% charge but when I tried to recharge it to 100%, it will not charge. I left it connected to several different charges that absolutely do work (charged other devices) and it just keeps in discharging over time with use. Once it hits 0%, it will be useless.I really like this product but the battery will not charge and the production quality control is poor. I guess I got a bad unit.There are many other such products on Amazon, I recommend purchasing a different product.

Unboxing this meter, I was impressed with the case, instructions, and colour display. It has a lot of neat functions and features. Its great for measuring components quickly, and is reasonably accurate. I tested it against a $1k FLUKE DMM and it was out slightly, but given the price - and purpose (as a component checker), I think it hits the mark.The claim in the product info of 'exceptional accuracy' is perhaps a little exaggerated.I like how it has multiple functions, and appreciate that the manufacture notes it does its own self tests - though some indication on that beautiful display that what I'm seeing is a self test would improve confidence in the device.At this price point, for component checking usage - its a strong recommend from me.
