Two piece HSS Inboard Scraper Set # LCSIDE2. These heavy duty round end inboard side scrapers are equipped with thick, stable blades so you can cut aggressively without vibration. These chisels are ideal for making final cuts inside bowls. The scrapers have a radius designed to easily shear the wood and create a clean smooth finish. Larger Scraper is 19" overall length with a blade 6" long x 1" wide and 3/8" thick. Smaller Scraper is 16" overall length with a blade 6" long x 3/4" wide and 5/16" thick.

A Round Side Cut Scraper blade for turners who prefer to make their own handles. Designed for blending the parallel side wall and the curved bottom of vessels and boxes together. It is excellent for undercutting the rims of small bowls.

I have been very happy with these. They are thick steel with solid handles. They are a good balance and length. The steel holds a good edge and easily adds a burr with a nice sharpening card. The two sizes come in handy depending on the shape of the bowl I am working on. I couldn't be happier with the selection!

Great value for the money... they only require a good sharpening, as the factory grind is a bit lacking, as typical for most new wood turning gouges, regardless of manufacturer.

Good and stable for touchups on the bottom and sides of bowls. The extra long handles and heavy blades make them nice and stable.

If you need a fair priced set of scrapers you'll not find anything better. As with all lathe scrapers you need to put a burr edge on them before use. These are really nice tools for the price. I have many different brands of turning tools and these hold their own.

These are good quality tools bought at very affordable price. These are my first set of scrapers. I have nothing to compare it with. I re-sharpen my scrapers as soon as I received them. It does the job, it is sturdy and stays sharp long enough. I like it. The lower price makes it very attractive for those artists who are new to the trade.

At half the price of quality chisels, and based on other reviews I thought I would give them a go. I was only buying round side scrapers so figured they didn’t need to be high end. Like others have said, they’re coated with heavy lacquer. I couldn’t find my acetone, so I just started using them with the lacquer still on them. Haha, worked fine, it comes off anyway.

Like many other reviews for this product I found the tools to be good value. I'm glad I read the comments about the lacquer coating on the steel so I was prepared. I built a small immersion tank from some copper pipe scraps so I could soak the tool steel in acetone. I could have used a glass bottle but that would have needed more acetone. It worked like a charm: 20 minutes soaking, no scrubbing then wipe the tool clean. If I'd have only bought 1 tool I would have used elbow grease to remove the lacquer but I also purchased 3 bowl gouges that needed the same treatment so this saved a lot of time & effort. In the 3rd photo you can see how far the tool was immersed - bare steel on the left, lacquer on the right
