My le creuset had the black knob that wasn’t fully oven proof. Ordered this one, easy to put on and safe in the oven. Do be careful, it will be hot when it comes out of the oven. Sometimes it is hot when using on stove top. Looks great and so happy with this purchase.

Bought this for a 7-1/4 Dutch oven used for baking bread at high temperature in the oven. I got tired of swapping it out with a small metal knob that came on another pot. The metal knob is essential for high heat oven cooking and it somewhat expensive (not compared to Le Creuset cookware) and classy looking.A significant benefit of the large metal knob is it's shape which moves the end of the knob further away from the lid allowing for a much better grip, essential when wearing oven mitts, but just general handling. Mounted to the lid, the knob is taller. On big heavy pot lids, it looks fabulous and is very practical.I'm contemplating replacing all my big pot lids. I have $3000 in Le Creuset, much of it older bought at good prices, so a couple of hundred in metal knobs for a dramatic and practical upgrade to my cookware seems like a bargain.A stainless steel replacement screw comes with the knob in official Le Creuset packaging.

I am really pleased with this Le Creuset replacement knob. It came in perfect condition and was easy to replace. I love how much better my 5.5 qt dutch oven looks. While I did find it expensive, I will admit that it was worth the money.

This knob is very pretty. It’s made identical to the original using light weight stainless steel, so it doesn’t alter or improve the function of the oven. It is just as heat resistant as the original and has withstood a 450-degree oven temperature for more that an hour.This is identical to the original except that it’s anodized with color which should hold up to time and use.Installation is straightforward- unscrew the original and screw this knob on (the knob does come with a new screw). This is made in China, just like the original (just the cast iron portion of the oven is made in France).This should last as long the original would.

The handle that came with my Le Creuset pot was one of those black ones that deteriorates over time. This replacement knob is much nicer and I believe will hold up way better.I’m giving it only four stars because I believe that the price for this replacement knob is a bit too high (should be about $10 less in my opinion).These knobs should be put on the original pots and pans over the cheap black ones.

My dutch oven is mostly being used for sourdough and the black handle I had on it broke. Probably due to high temperatures.I therefore thought it best to replace it with a metal handle and this was really easy to replace and fit.

Onze Creuset pan had een zwarte knop die niet hittebestendig was. Hierdoor was het niet mogelijk de pan met deksel in de oven te zetten. Met deze knop kan dat wel. Let wel op da de knop net zo heet wordt als de pan..voorzichtig aanpakken dus.
