Doesn't recover the sand as well as i hoped. It relies on randomly bouncing grains to fall through a small hole into the bag.

Didn’t work at all. It didn’t retain one grain of sand that I blasted.

Does not work that well in my opinion.

This works surprisingly well, and I really didn't expect much when I got it so it was a pleasant surprise. To be clear, it doesn't capture all the media, but it's really not reasonable to expect that from this sort of device. If you need perfect capture, you really need to be using a blasting cabinet. But for an inexpensive device, this does fairly well and it will end up paying for itself really quickly in savings on captured media you can reuse.

The concept is good, and this kit features several differently shaped attachments for catching abrasive material "on the fly" as it were. But while this apparatus does serve to collect a pretty good amount material, if you're looking for a supreme clean up ... well, we're not there yet.It will collect enough to pay for itself in recycled abrasive media, but that might take a little while. The build is good, the canvas bag is easy to empty, and the parts are well made.

I'm giving this 2 stars just because I'm not positive my technique wasn't part of the problem. I tried 2 lengths of tips on the sandblaster and different air pressures and I wasn't able to get it to reclaim any blasting media. The item I was blasting was contoured and I had to point downward, so that may have been part of the problem. I will try this again on a project I can blast level or upward and use some of the other attachments on it and update my rating if the results change. The pictures I've included show the attachment I used, the mess left behind, and what was in the reclaim bag after using this.

I think I wasted my money. I couldn't get it to collect any of the grit. I'll give it another try and, if I'm successful, I'll revise my rating.

I've always wanted to get (what I call) a spot blaster attachment. Sometimes it's nice to be able to concentrate the media in a small area without having it go everywhere, so I ordered this kit. It's pretty decent overall. It's nice to have the collection bag and it has different tips for doing inside and outside corners, along the edge of a 90 degree, and then the flat panel one. It's great having those different tips but I wish they were more rubbery. The tips are pretty hard in my opinion and not every panel is going match up to them exactly. If they were more flexible you could put a little pressure on them and get a lot better seal. That's just my opinion.
