I used them on some glass bowls I picked up at an Oktoberfest that was selling antiques and I wanted to make sure they were lead free before I used them to serve food. They were super easy to use and quickly gave me the information I needed with clear, accurate results that were easy to understand so I can confidently be sure I;m keeping my family safe.

I have a set of 1920s painted, wooden alphabet letters that were my mother's, then mine, and I would like to pass them along to my grandchildren, but not without testing for lead content. Honestly, I ordered a lead testing set from Amazon a full *grandchild* ago, but it was so complicated to use that I didn't trust the results. These swabs are so EASY to use that I *think* I trust the results, which were all NEGATIVE for lead! I only needed 4 of the swabs for the 4 different paint colors of the letters, so I'm packing the remaining 6 swabs with the letters so my daughter can test again for herself.

This test works very well most of the time. But I tested an old citrus gadget and the swab turned black. That doesn't seem like a good thing,. But I can't find information anywhere on their webpage to help me out.

Turns out the old wine glass set we for when we moved into our first apartment had soem spicy paint. Won't be drinking from that any more.

This came with zero color chart to read results. So does no good to use.
