I like this rack. It works great once installed. The only issue I had with installation was that the holes for the ski holders did not match the original holes for the screws and I had to make the holes bigger with my own drill. I was able to fit 3 pairs of skis easily. Decent value for the money.

Overall product works very well.My issue is for snowboards. The overall width is not wide enough to accommodate having your binding inside both of the holders for maximum security. Once closed one binding is in the middle, the other is on the outside of the holder. Cross members should be more of a ladder so that you could adjust width instead of a fixed U shaped.

Fit is good, easy to install, sturdy, functionality high. The buyers complaining about not closing are misleading. This is rubber catch system needs to wear down with time. Initially have to use force on the new rack over time it requires less force. Always lock as unlock racks have the tendency to open

I purchased this product last winter, but just assembled it for this season. There was a threaded insert on the ski rack which was not installed at factory to attach the rack to both a cross bar/ or the hitch. Trip to hardware store and I fixed this issue for $3 and time.With one pair of skis or a board, it is ok. With skis stacked they block your license plate ( not legal in my state) but also all the back lights. Dangerous, and could easily get you a ticket.This product with a little more work and decent QC might be a good item but the version I obtained make me say to take a hard pass. BTW I purchased my product- I see a lot of reviews for products that are not purchased under the new Amazon program. I have used the model shown by Arksen and Bougre and it is not great quality either but at least is functional.

Update:I used this product for two days, and my skis are absolutely wrecked because of the grime from carrying them around on the back. Edges are all rusted now. not recommended you leave them in for more than transport to and from the mountain. I got lazy and left them on for an evening and pulled them out the next day. This is definitely going back to the vendorReceived this product about a week ago. Not sure if I’m going to return it yet or not. If you have a rear mounted tire that’s large you may have problems like the ones in the picture. I also have a hitch extender on this now. Also skis get very dirty sitting in the back, which is normal, but these seem a little bit more than normal.
