This light is bright.It starts to turn on at 8V DC but the usable brightness will be more than 10V DC.It has a current limiting resistor inside and the brightness and the current increase as input voltage increases.It draws 0.06A at 10V DC input and gradually increases to 0.187A at 13.8V DC.The brightness is about 100 lux at 1 meter distance with 12V input.If you leave it on for a long time with 13.8V DC, the internal resistor may burn out.

I added these to the rear bumper, angled down and to the side, slightly. I did this for 2 reasons.One; to give others more of a warning that I'm in reverse and backing up.Two ; These are a nice little flood lights and in the dark, light up the area to my side very nicely for 5 to 10 ft behind. (I usually will carry a large truck camper and backing up while turning into a campsite, in the evening often happens)

Product was great, and we use it for holiday displays every year. The problem however is in the making of the product. Twice in the last couple years we have ordered one color and received another marked as the color we ordered. Minor issue, so just make sure you check BEFORE installing.

Installed these on front of truck. 1 week later the two white ones burned out/stopped working . 3 Amber I installed fine. Reinstalled two white, next day one Amber went out. Changed it. 2 days later another different Amber one flashing / blinking like crazy. Replaced it. Now last night a white one went out. Will stay out till different brand maker comes I ordered. Sure before then I’ll have another one or two go out. If you like something driving you crazy and like swapping out lights every other day or week or so then theses lights are great for that. Buyer beware!!!! Bad batch don’t know? . Built well except for thin wires. But crappy chips or whatever you call the actual lights. Stuck with a few more in packages. Never again.

Bought these as custom back up lights for a camper. Seem to be perfect for that application. Wouldn't want to be the person standing behind the trailer directing it. Not to be looked at directly without eye protection.They are best used in applications where there is not direct eye contact. Very bright. Great little bulbs, I may buy more again when there is a need.

The are STRONG, will blow away the police when they try to stop you for non-compliance. After a week police wont stop you for non-compliance because the unit will have failed (presumably due to the 0.1 analhair* gauge copper-looking alu conductor melting? But at this price, just fit the next one from your box of 10. If you're lucky winter will be over before before the pack of 10.*NB this metric not yet adopted by the Systeme des Unites Internationale.
