I was tracking down an A/C refrigerant leak in my 2012 GMC Yukon that the mechanics couldn't find. After running the A/C and getting some condensate to leak onto the ground, the light picked up the leak. Doing this test in an open garage would have been better because the light was somewhat washed out by the sunlight.

I only bought it for the light. I did use the oil in a AC system automotive it works, but the fluorescent oil included is not very bright. I go with a different option. The light works well though battery is not included.

I encountered a power steering leak that soaked the undercarriage of our 2004 Highlander, making it difficult to identify the source. Yet, with the use of the Leak Detector Kit, the origin of the leak was revealed with such clarity that its location was indisputable. I am completely persuaded of the product's efficacy. However, the task of replacing the high-pressure power steering hoses is a different challenge altogether.

The light works ok but you need minimal light pollution when using it. Total darkness for the best results. The light def could be a bit brighter for day time analysis but it gets the job done.

I received the package but the most important part is missing. There was no dye with the kit only the yellow glasses and the flashlight. There is no battery but that I understand because it is dangerous to ship batteries. I am returning this item and I will order another one hoping the dye is in the kit.2023-09-21 update: I received the other and the dye was in it.

Battery pack spring popped out immediately,one of the worst products I've ever bought. Light doesn't even work, tried using tinfoil but it doesn't work at all. Would be nice if you could use a large battery in it or if it has the simple design with a spring in the actual flash light.Also the liquid totally leaked out in the bag. Overall been a bad experience
