My daughter's dehumidifier came with a plastic drain hose to screw into the back of the dehumidifier. This broke and we had to order a different one. I liked the sounds of the Leakproof Dehumidifier drain hose so I purchased this one. It screwed on very easily and it is metal so you don't have to worry about it breaking. I highly recommend this!!

Good, well-made hose for dehumidifiers. The garden hose fitting mounts to the dehumidifier drain hole.If you have a floor drain within 5 feet of the dehumidifier, this works well. The water will not be under any pressure so and old garden hose would work if you have one you can sacrifice. This one also comes in a 12 foot length.The users manual for the dehumidifier will tell how to divert the water from the internal tank to the hose.Using a drain hose like this is MUCH better than having to empty the tank on the dehumidifier. I live in Georgia, so the dehumidifier has to be emptied at least once per day!
