I like the idea of this bottle. The design made it easy to refill the bottle. And this definitely keep their water clean, since they then to go swimming in their tiny water bowl. The only problem is that I felt like the smaller birds like budgies are having trouble getting water out of it. My conure had no issue using it. I still kept a different type of water feeder in the budgies cage, so at least they get another source to get water. Overall, I think this is a great design for larger size birds.

The bottle has a thick spout made of hard plastic, with a clear bottom half and a light blue-tinted upper half. The holder in the middle has a tight grip, and instead of mounting it on a wire cage, I secure it through a hole in my acrylic cage and use mesh wire to protect the body of the bottle from my ratties. The holder has a snap-in mechanism so I can detach the bottle without unscrewing the entire mount. I can unscrew the spout section for thorough cleaning, and it has a top lid so I can refill without removing the bottle. Rather than using stainless steel balls, I see the bottle has a thick needle at the spout that my ratties press against to drink. Water dispensing stops immediately when they release pressure from the needle, and I haven't experienced any leaks.

My bottle leaked as soon as my guinea pig drank from it. The entire contents leaked out within a day. I even put a bowl underneath it and it leaked so much that the entire bedding had to be changed. I am very disappointed because I spent hours researching and reading reviews and decided to give this one a try.

Beware this bottle does leak a bit and it can only be filled from the top or you will end up with water everywhere. The small piece that the animals are supposed to lick in order to get water is a bit stiff and may be hard for smaller animals to get water from. We got this for our rats and they had a hard time figuring this bottle out for the first couple days.

Got this water bottle for one of my rat cages. I'm always on the lookout for nice water bottles and this one does not disappoint.It's so EASY to refill! The center "band" clips around the bottle. It's easy to unsnap and to snap back in place. The bottle fills from the top, which is so much more convenient to use than the bottles that only unscrew at the bottom. A word of caution: because of the top-loading nature of the bottle, you can't flip it upside down when it has water in it. There isn't any real need to do this but I tested it out of curiosity.We use it for our girls' cage. They seem to have no trouble using it. It doesn't seem to leak much if at all. I have it up next to a "traditional" style ball tap-tap water bottle (which does leak a little) so I can't be certain that it's leak Proof but it's definitely better than the traditional style.I love the aesthetic of this bottle. It's beautiful like a hummingbird feeder. The colors look great with my girls' cage.

My rats can’t seem to figure out how to get the water to come out, but it is a high-quality product that is made well. I think it would be better for larger rodents or Bird
