This is a cool little toy/book combo gift idea. The kids love it because it’s paw patrol. It has a storyline and buttons they can push that make noises. It does the alphabet and teaches them all the letters as well. It will read them story out loud, it sounds out letters, helps with phonics, and so much more. I’m very impressed how well thought out this is and how educational it is while being fun. But then again, it is Leapfrog; they do a great job! Overall wonderful value, highly recommend.

This is a great educational toy to either keep or gift to loved little ones. The print job is very well-done and the colours are so rich and vivid. The book itself is very sturdy, even with the "pages" being spun on a spiral binding. The volume is adjustable, but it's very loud and clear right out of the package (I believe it's set by default to the highest volume). The audio isn't crackly at all and bonus that it comes with batteries pre-installed, so can be played with immediately. The concept is very interesting and new to me. As your little one flips the page, the book will read out the next page's text. It also has a few interactive activities/games as you work through it.The fun red plastic handle makes it easy for kids to carry around from room to room and the material of the pages and tabs makes it easy for little hands and fingers to navigate.

Our two toddlers love this narrated book. The oldest has a blast with the various games available (of course, being a Paw Patrol fan to begin with helps), and the younger is just a fan of the music & sound effects mode -- creating giggles all around. The audio quality isn't perfectly crystal clear, but it is fairly decent and audible enough for children to understand the questions being asked -- whether identifying a specific picture in the book, or the colour of an object. It also puts an emphasis of sounding out words, which is a nice addition.I've seen a few other comments about the volume being too loud, but this just isn't true. The included keypad has a volume control near the top (see photos), and this allows you to toggle through three different volume settings. Trust me, I know what a loud/obnoxious children's toy sounds like, and on the lowest volume setting this book is very tolerable -- even with repeated use.So if you're looking for a birthday gift, or just a surprise for a rainy day, this fully narrated book is highly educational and well made. It is an easy recommendation for both Paw Patrol fans and non-fans alike.

We love LeapFrog brand toys because they are always sturdy, well made, last long and have engaging sounds, lights and colors. The big book of Paw Patrol is great in that it integrates all of those things into a learning experience. While we love reading traditional books we also like these sorts of learning toys, We like that we can hear sounds, lights, and I can engage my grandson into pressing buttons and learning the Alphabet wile having fun with colors, sounds and more. The pages are a sturdy plastic that shouldn't get torn easily and should last for years, or even through multiple children. Our grandson loves that he can carry this around with the handle and always chooses to play with this toy when he visits us.I like that the volume is adjustable as well.Great engaging toy, perfect for ages 2-6.
