This compass was just what I needed for my geometry class. It is sturdy and grips the marker well. I also like that it has interchangeable tips--a suction cup and a rubber tip--which make it even more versitile. A great value!

Excellent ordering, and delivery of product.Compas is easy to use and can accept various diameters of markers, holds to the board really well.Only improvement is the top of the compas is difficult to lock. It slips if the nut is not really tight. Might want to consider adding some rachets or teeth to hold it in place.

The product is not sturdy. The suction cup slips on the whiteboard. Requires a lot of effort to complete a circle. It is easier to use a piece of string to make a circle than this device.

As a geometry teacher, I was so excited about this product. It is definitely helpful for drawing constructions that the whole class can see, but it doesn't work as well as I had hoped. The device to tighten the arms so that the compass holds its position while you are drawing doesn't stay tight enough. So, when I'm doing a construction the white board, it often slips. It works fairly well if I'm drawing on a board that is on a table top. Even that, though, does take some finesse.

I purchased this compass not even considering price. It looked like the one I needed for the job. Here's what I had to do to make it work efficiently:1) I had to insert a rubber gasket at the fulcrum within the pieces. Without that it slips too easily.2) I had to rough up the rubber tip and add adhesive caulk. Without, it slips on the board.3) The Expo Dry Erase marker will need to be wrapped in sticky tape or it will slip out or back. Why oh why can't a manufacturer see these problems and attend to them? Why must the purchaser fix the product to make it useful? This is so annoying. This could have been great. Instead [IMHO] it's just "meh".

If you need this for teaching constructions, don’t waste your money. The marker isn’t firmly held so it changes position while trying to measure. There are better ones on the market. Wish I had returned when I had the chance. Really flimsy!

This is poorly designed. First, it is too long, which causes the arms to move constently and in turn it makes drawing circles or arcs nearly impossible. The first time that I put a marker in the holder the rubber that is suppose to hold the pen fell off the compas... The tightening handle is also way too small for locking the compass; I have to use a glove to lock it as I cant get enough torque on it to lock it. One positive; it made myself and my students laugh when I tried to use it. I will return this useless item.
