This bag is awesome! good materials and I'm not an expert but smells and feels like genuine leather, my vision was for this to put on my bike...and work fantastic..lest see how long holds.. but I'm happy with the purchase..

This bag is better than what expected. The quality and durability of this bag is supreme. It has so many pockets to store things and fits my iPad and keyboard perfectly. The hardware on it is durable and the over all look is gorgeous. I love this bag and so happy that I purchased it.

This bag is above and beyond what I expected down to the way it was packaged with the beautiful note and sack it came with. The craftsmanship on this bag is incredible and the hardware is high-quality. I love the story behind the artist passion for creating these leather bags and each one is 100% hand-made so I feel like mine is unique. The smell people are talking about seems like it's a natural leathery smell but seems to go away and not that big a deal. This bag is roomy with a lot of pockets and the lining is the absolute most beautiful color against the grain of the leather. This could not have been a more perfect gift to myself this holiday season! Thank you Komal! (This really is a real review!!!)

Updated review:Here I am, almost 5 years after my original purchase. My original bag still works, but has been abused to the point I fear the shoulder strap will eventually break where it was mistakenly cut at some point. I said I would be back, and I can’t be more grateful that this bag is still being manufactured with some wonderful updates to the design. I LOVE the addition of strong, sturdy metal clip style buckles that can be used in conjunction with the standard buckles. The straps are also slightly shorter which leads to a much cleaner look than the original. My ONLY complaint is that I must wait for it to break in once more, but I know, without a doubt, I will be back in another few years to replace this daily staple! Pictures of the old and new bags have been added so you can truly appreciate just how gorgeous this bag will become once it begins to soften with regular use. It’s hard to believe this is actually the same bag, but I promise you will not regret investing in such a beautiful and practical bag.Original review:First of all, I want to thank Komal's Passion Leather for one of the best unpackaging experiences of my life. From the moment you first open the box, you know that this seller truly cares about their product. The leather satchel I purchased was much more protected than I would have imagined. The bag was inside of another small drawstring satchel made of a beautifully printed material which was inside of another clear plastic bag which in turn was taped securely around its contents.Unpacking Experience:When I removed the leather satchel from the drawstring satchel, my first impression was that it is, for once, everything it was advertised to be and more. Not to mention, every piece of ANY clasp that could have potentially damaged the leather in transit was very well covered by cellophane and/or thin packaging foam. Beyond that, the protection was still VERY easy to remove. It took just a few minutes to pull the protective materials from no less than 7 places on the bag. The level of care taken in preparing this bag for shipment and safe arrival is phenomenal!But wait! It gets better! Above and beyond that, there is a "Thank you" letter and care instructions on a piece of beautiful raw paper that was hand signed by Komal. The contents of the letter not only thank you for the purchase but go into the process taken to naturally cure and prepare the product. This bag is "100% handmade from genuine unprocessed leather and is tanned using traditional Sun tanning process and vegetable oils. No chemicals are used during the making of this bag."The Bag Itself:The bag is breathtaking! It has 2 outside zippered pockets on the front and back as deep as the bag itself, 1 buckle pocket on the front middle, an interior zippered pocket (again, as deep as the bag itself, and 3 sections on the interior of the bag. One of these last 3 pockets is almost the entire depth of the bag. (This is the pocket where my 10.5 inch iPad Pro will likely call home, though one of the two thinner spots may work as well if you do not have a case on yours.) The other 2 pockets are great for papers, thinner wallets, your cell phone, a small notepad if needed, maybe to hold a few pens??There is still plenty of room after placing my iPad into the satchel to allow for my basic needs. I can easily still fit my glasses case, my apple pencil case, my wallet, phone, and other daily wants and needs within this bag without overfilling it. I will be carrying this bag for many years to come. The amount of thought taken to fully maximize this bags potential through the creation process is rare to find these days. The stitching is perfect on every seam (Trust me, I looked. I was sure something HAD to be wrong somewhere.). I have no doubt that this bag will last me for many many years and grow more beautiful with each passing season as it ages. I may have received this at a reduced price, but having this in hand I would have happily paid the original asking price or MORE for a bag of this quality.In closing, if and when I decide I need to replace this satchel, upgrade to a larger one, or just want some variety in my life, I will likely search for Komal's Passion Leather first. This is far better than you might guess from the price. It would not be big enough to carry paperwork, but it’s about perfect for a portable electronic office. It holds an iPad and keyboard case, a mouse, a power bank, charging cables and charger, glasses, and still has room if I needed to add a couple of small items. The leather is thick and smells nice, and the half-flap streamlines its appearance. The access to the main storage pocket is easy, straight through the top, and there are a couple of metal zipper side pockets. It’s small enough that any weight it carries won’t be enough to cause the narrow, 1” strap to dig into my shoulder. Tough little bag. This will be in regular rotation.

I love this bag. No, really. I LOVE this bag. Just the right size, well-crafted and well-designed. I am a college professor that needed to take a handful of small items to class each day, and this is just the ticket. I almost didn't pull the trigger because of other reviewers that complained about the smell. So glad that I did not listen to them. Yes, there is a smell. It is the smell of natural leather. It is glorious. When I was in high school, I used to work for a neighbor who owned a leather tanning company. I know what leather smells like and what chemicals smell like. It is refreshing to smell real leather again after all these years.The workmanship and packing was excellent. You can tell that they really take pride in their products. I am going over their website now to see if I can find other bags that will fit a need, because I really love this one. Don't hesitate. Pull the trigger. You won't be sorry.

I’ve bought other things from this seller and the quality has been fantastic. I’m going on vacation and wanted something to use as a carry on for things like my electronics, wallet and passport etc.this bag is perfect.It has a total of seven individual compartments, some zippered, some not and some one with a buckle. The front main flap looks like it’s buckled and it is, but it can quickly be opened without having to unbuckle them (see my third photo). There’s a smaller buckled pocket on the front that’s perfect for keys or key fob. Also on the front is a good size zippered pocket that holds a full size wallet as well as a passport. Inside is a large compartment divided into three spaces, perfect for a small laptop, tablet and keyboard. Also good for a documents. There’s a zippered pocket inside that’s roughly the same size as the zippered pocket on the front. The back has a zippered pocket the same size.The strap is adjustable and has a nice added pad that for your shoulder.The leather is very nice, not too stiff but not cheap and flimsy feeling.The smell of leather is nice but fades after awhile if it isn’t something you like.The color of the bag varies in different lighting as you can see by my photos even taken in the same place at the same time.The bottom line is that it looks good, smells good and is totally useful.I recommend it for anyone looking for a bag to hold the things I mentioned while traveling or in day to day activities.

I have had this bag for a little while now. As with lots of leather products like this, they get better with time, this bag is no exception. The cover flap and back has become very supple and I like it. The overall structure, stitching etc has remained perfect. All zips and buckle and catch are still fine.I use this bag everyday, it carries my wallet, phone, medication and lots of assorted rubbish.Finally, don't think the "Hangover" movie won't ever be mentioned by some younger people. My work colleagues took great delight in this as I happen to also look a bit like this character, which I find hilarious, the hair, the beard, the mannerisms, the belly. I turned up to work in the aviator glasses one day, on purpose, the place nearly erupted.This bag might change your life

Looks eactly like picture. Leather supple no smell. I had hoped the buckle was not merely decorative so I could close it against pickpockets. The quick release has no lock and the buckle is only decorative so it does not have a good anti pickpocket defence.
