Purchased two of the 250W transformers to drive LED task lighting in a residential kitchen. One failed out of the box, emitting a high-pitched whine. Powered down, waited, tried again. Still nonfunctional. The other transformer works perfectly. Contacted Amazon for replacement (was beyond the return window). My bad; installation project was delayed and the faulty transformer was not discovered in time. Amazon was very helpful in connecting with the seller and promised to follow the dialogue until the issue is resolved. Currently awaiting comments from the seller. Will update this review when further information becomes available. Gave only 2 stars as one of the two units purchased failed out of the box.*********16MAY23 UPDATE **********Seller responded immediately. Received correspondence from them and a replacement today. Installed and working fine. Revising my rating to five stars. Support from both Amazon and the seller was outstanding.

To achieve the full 300-watt capacity, you need to pair the cables by their colors. One cable 100, two cables 200, etc. Very simple and my client is very pleased. Note; that it’s not dimmable.

I used this to replace a burned out unit for my LED deck lighting system. It has twice the power output as the previous unit and works well. I’d recommend it for an outdoor application like this!

This power supply allowed me to go from 3 supplies to 1 supply and make it so my lights could fade and change all 3 zones at the same rate. Had to go to one controller instead of 3 as well. Update, after 2 years on my roof ... it stopped working (when weather was very hot). I am replacing with a silver one (to reflect the heat).

Needed for my 4 grow lights instead of 4 separate transformers and this worked well. No overheating, waterproof and fire resistant . You will need to do some diy since I’d a bare cable connection but won’t disappoint. No flickering, no buzz-y noise

It seems well made. It’s about the size of a brick. The only complaint is the plug is short. I will just need an extension but so far I’m happy with it. The price is higher than I expected but it’s not more than the others. I’m using it to power a 12V light that I made from a motorcycle fender. So far it’s working fine and isn’t even getting hot.
