I understand this is not a 90° angle but is more like a 45° angle. It's more on an angle than it shows in the photos.

This mount came with everything needed to mount my barn light. For the cost it worked as expected but one issue was the bolt heads on the lag screws for mounting the bracket to wood, the Philip head pattern wallowed out using a drill driver so switched to a socket driver and it was hard to get the head of the bolt in the socket. Not impossible but difficult. Once on they drove in fine and solidly mounted the pole. It may have been nice to be longer but acceptable and well made!

The item is described as being aluminum - however, it is steel.It's also a problem for the way I planned to install it (although to be fair, probably not if you're just going to bolt it to the wall). The item is supposedly manufactured from 1.5" diameter tubing, so I had planned to elevate the light by attaching this mounting arm to the top of a 10ft length of 1-1/4" EMT conduit (1.5" diameter), using a regular conduit coupling. However, this item is slightly larger in diameter than the stated 1.5" - and it's also not round (distorted during the bending, I suspect), so it won't fit into the coupling. Nevertheless, it's the best thing I can find for what I want to do, so I guess I'll find a way to make it work.Update: It gets even worse! I decided to simply bolt the arm to the side of my barn. However, I found the configuration of the arm, when assembled, is not as depicted in the image. The photo shows the angle of the assembled item being a little more than 90 degrees, so the light will be tilted up a little and shine out a little into the yard. I had noticed this in the image when I was considering the purchase, and liked that aspect. However, the arm I received is less than 90 degrees, so the light will shine backwards somewhat, onto the side of the barn. All things considered, I haven't found a single thing correct about the description of this item, or the image!
