I ended up purchasing This to use with my paddleboard. I have a young son and he often rides with me on my paddleboard, and after several accidental bumps to the head when trying to row, I decided a double sided paddle would be the way to go to avoid future bumps to the head. Our first time out with a new paddle was fantastic. I definitely was able to pick up speed quicker having the double sided paddle and while the paddle was slightly heavier than I thought it would be it floats well in the water and does not sink which was an initial concern I had. It has several attachments in case I want to extend the paddle or if I want to use as a single sided paddle. It was above and beyond what my expectations were!

Let me just say that the price point offsets a lot of sins.First off, the extra blade and the T handle are not quite the same diameter. You have to tighten the lock nut by one turn to get a secure attachment for the T handle, and loosen it by the same amount to get an appropriate fit for the blade.Second, the quick release on one side and the spring-loaded pin on the other are very close to where you would grip for kayaking. Not enough to really interfere, but less than inch away on each side.Third, it weighs a metric ton. Youรขโฌโขre never going to mistake this for a carbon fiber Werner paddle.The paddle seems fine for casual recreational use, but Iรขโฌโขd hesitate to use it for actual ocean kayaking, which I did extensively in my younger days.Again, for the price point, Iรขโฌโขm willing to overlook all the above-mentioned flaws. If youรขโฌโขre looking for a cheap recreational paddle, this will suffice.
