If the device fails the test, the indicator light flashes to signal that the GFCI should be replaced. Most others have a green LED when powered and happy which turns red when tripped. I didn't like the look of these green lights in my new brown tiled kitchen wall.These have a red LED when they pop so you know when they are powered and tripped, but in normal powered use they are just their base color (white in my case) with no visually distracting green LED.

I replaced the receptacles in an old 1950's apartment unit that had all brown electrical sockets and switches (plugs would just fall out as the receptacles were too loose to hold them in). While I was at it I added GFCI's to the two main runs to offer up some additional protection - brown is getting harder and harder to find so these matched perfectly. These work well.

These are possibly the most aesthetically-pleasing line of "standard" GFCI outlets on the market. They appear to be well-built and are easy to install with either true back-wiring (not back-stab) or side-wiring.

I love this socket. Very sturdy and easy to read markings. The GFCI works great. I like that it’s self testing.we had some lightning in the area and it struck pretty close and some of my electronics were affected but when I checked this socket it was fine.i like that it lights up when you test it to let you know that it is working .I bought two of them for my kitchen.
