This product was clearly used. The packaging was damaged, there were no instructions nor wire caps typically needed for installation. I submitted for a replacement. Hopefully, the replacement is new with all the parts and instructions.Got a brand new one the next day. It was easy to install with the instructions and provided wire caps. Works great!

My wife has issues with seeing in low light. This switch is sensitive enough to turn on light from a 15-20 foot distance and time on is adjustable without uninstalling the switch. Problem solved! Also works well with normal 3-way switch. Suggest using Wago connectors to connect solid and stranded wires (part of the switch). Also takes up less room than the supplied 4 wire nuts. The fact that the face of the switch comes in 3 colors, was a big inducement.

This is a fine device. However, Legrand needs to include and instruction sheet that is correct. The instruction sheet that came with the unit and the one on the Legrand website both indicate that their is a green ground wire. This device has a grounding screw, not a wire. If you read the instructions and look for this mysterious green wire, you would be lost. If you look at the picture in this listing, it is obvious what to do but the instructions are probably from another version of this device or a copied from another one. Fix it,

First unit didn’t work and cost money to return which seems ridiculousReplacement worked just fine, however getting the unit programmed was hard workI was able to get the unit programmed for a 5 minute turn off after leaving the device connected for 24 hoursThe unit looks really nice and the IR sensor operation is the best of similar units that we have tried in the past

Functions perfectly and does exactly what I wanted it to for our laundry room. Install was a breeze and changing the timer is interesting, but intuitive with the instructions.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it does not sense ambient light. It's a bit silly to turn the light on in bright daylight. If the electrician would have bothered to install a neutral wire by the garage door, I could have used more feature-rich switches. Under current circumstances, this was a good solution. These switches work well if you don't have a neutral wire and you don't want to invest in rewiring the box(es). Installation is fairly simple. Be aware though that for a 2-pole installation it matters that the read wire connects to the light (load) and the black to the power from the box. If you have an electrician like mine, that considers color coding more of a suggestion than a standard, you may know which wires are "hot", but not exactly which one is "load". If switches don't work, it's likely you got the two "hot" wires backwards. My three-way wiring had a single "hot" wire and two traveler wires in each box. I connected yellow to one of the traveler wires, and used the other one to get the outside power to the other box, that needs both black and red wired.

I need to call tech support for my wiring configuration. I was placing the senor in the location where there was NO HOT wire directly from the breaker box. In the Sensor location, I had a 14/2 (used for the light) Black and a 14/3 traveler wires (Black & Red), the White wires from the 14/2 and 14/3 were wire nutted together. In the Mechanical switch location I had 14/2 and 14/3 wires. The HOT was the 14/2 (directly from the breaker box) Black and a 14/3 traveler wires (Black & Red), the White wires from the 14/2 and 14/3 were wire nutted together. So here is what I did:Connect the green or non-insulated (copper) GROUND wire from the circuit to the green ground wire on the RRW600U. Make sure there is a solid ground connection.Connect the power wire to the light or fan (LOAD) to the red wire on the RRW600U.Connect one of the runner (traveler) wires to the black wire of the RRW600U. (NOTE: this will end up being the hot wire when connections are made in your mechanical switch location.)Connect one of the runner (traveler) wires to the yellow wire of the RRW600U.(NOTE: this will be connected to the common terminal of your mechanical switch in your mechanical switch location.)*** The following steps are done in the mechanical 3-way switch location ****Disconnect the Mechanical 3-way switch.Connect the ground wire. Make sure there is a solid ground connectionConnect the runner (traveler) wire (presently hooked up to the yellow wire of the RRW600U) to the common of the 3-way companion mechanical 3-way switch. (The common terminal will be the darker brass connection).Connect one of the mechanical 3-way switch traveler terminals (old traveler) connection to ground. Make sure there is a solid ground connection.Using a wire nut, connect HOT wire (the wire from the fuse box / breaker box) to the runner (traveler) wire that goes to the black wire of the RRW600U.For the remaining pole of the mechanical 3-way switch, do not connect to anything, (if a wire lead and not a terminal, just cap off with a wire nut.Attached pic is from Legrand Tech Support

Our 5 year old house has these installed in several places. The "click" mechanism failed in one. The switch still worked if you just touch the area rather than click it but I wanted to replace it. The this part number is slightly different than the ones installed in the house but went in without a hitch and works as it should. Pay attention to the instructions if you decide to change the programming.

When used in pair with a regular 3-way switch, the switches do not consistently control the light. It takes from 2 to 4 flips in order to turn on/off the light, especially on the regular switch side. Tried a replacement unit, same issue - it sounds like a design issue.
