It keeps the Ellipse from moving. I recommend that customers purchase both as they will be happier while using the ellipse.

I'd been using a small mat I had under my under-the-desk elliptical device. It was less than ideal. When I went online to review the device (which I LOVE), this came up. It's perfect. Perfect fit and the device does not slip a drop, as it did before.

The star above should actually in the negative star section. This isn’t big enough for a toddler to exercise let alone an adult much more suited for an infant also not even big enough for equipment to put on returning product so disappointed don’t recommend.

You really don't need this piece to keep it from slipping on the floor. It's more of a surface protector.
