This us a great little book for beginners because it has fantastic pictures and easy instructions. I was very impressed that it has pictures for both right AND left handed people!The dish cloths are a small enough project to learn on and have a useful item when completing. I have shown this to many people in my knitting group and many have never heard of a knook.For people who crochet but are unsure of knitting, I recommend trying this because if you crochet you can do this and transition to knitting would be much easier. It's also easy and fun to do. Stitches don't slip off needles like with knitting so beginners don't get as frustrated. As with anything else, it does take a little practice but it's not hard to do at all.

The dishcloth patterns in this book are charming, yet not overdone in design or complexity for a dishcloth.The format to the patterns in this book is broken down as: 1. they will all start and end with 8 rows of garter stitch, 2. each pattern row will start and end with 4 or 5 garter stitches to make the square frame.The only criticism I had was that the illustrated instructions in the back of the book that demonstrate how to PSSO with the knook were lousy. For example the white lace dishcloth pattern went as follows...P2 K2tog YO K1 YO Sl1 K1 PSSO (Purl 2, Knit 2 together, Yarn Over, Slip 1, Knit 1, Pass the Slipped Stitch Over)what they mean is that you need to pull the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch and off of the needle the same way you would if you were binding/casting off. If you leave it on there like it shows in their illustrations you will have too many stitches. Hence PSSO means "pass the slipped stitch over" and is a subtle way of making a decrease. In this case, when using the knook you will simply take your hook and pull the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch and then off of the piece of cord holding your stitches. When using the knook to knit, the cord holds your stitches exactly the same way as a knitting needle would, and the crochet hook acts as the other needle that you would insert into the stitches. With this specific lace pattern, you will need to minus a stitch for each yarn over, or else your dishcloth will be gigantic.

Very easy to follow instructions. With a Fun variety of patterns to Knook. There is a Helpful guide in the back of the book that helps you learn to Knook.Quick and easy to learn techniques are used to help you learn. I liked the special instructions that went with each new design stitch combination that was at the beginning of each pattern.

Now that it finally arrived. It was exactly what I had been looking for. Now to get the materials and start knooking!I gave it a 4 Star because there was no tracking information on the Amazon website. I didn’t realize it was shipping from England. Therefore, the delay in getting to me was probably because it was sitting in quarantine. It would have been nice to know.

Like the lay out of this book, you really have to be able to use the knook needles to do all these projects, the ones I was able to use knitting needles for beautiful .
