If you are looking for a pan for rolls which will make mini submarine/hoagie sandwiches, this is probably not what you're looking for, as they seem rather too small for that to me. OTOH, the rolls I baked in it are perfect for frankfurters/hot dogs, and clam or lobster rolls. They come out perfectly browned on all sides, and ideally shaped. Since I've been instructed "no white anything", and there are no whole wheat hot dog buns available anywhere I've ever shopped in a bread aisle, and we only ever want four at a time, this is absolutely perfect for my needs.Thank you for reading my review. My husband has Celiac disease and I have looked for a long time for a good pan to make gluten free hot dog buns. Finally found this one and it is great. The buns came out the perfect size, they were brown all the way around and the pan was very easy to clean. I think this will be one of my favorite Amazon purchases.

I have been looking for months for a hot dog bun pan. Even ordered a couple that turned out to be wrong size. Then I stumbled across this pan and one reviewer said she used it for gluten free hot dog buns. Eureka! I ordered one and used my favorite hamburger bun recipe. Fantastic. I ordered a second. If you don't think a great bun makes a difference you are soooo wrong. This pan helps the bun keep its shape. Followed instructions and used crisco to grease the pans first couple of times ( I have only used them twice.) just the right size. I am using between 52 and 57 grams of dough. Comes out perfect. Do not fill pan like you are making a mini baguette, it would be too big for hot dogs. However, filling it more would make great sandwich rolls! Buns come out of pan easily. Bake perfectly

I wasn't sure if this was going to be quite what I wanted, but I'm very happy I bought it. I was making sub rolls freehand and baking them on cookie sheets, but the shapes were quite variable and I wanted to have more consistency. I'll need another pan to bake enough for a family of five, but the baguettes/sub rolls I made turned out quite well. Soft and fluffy inside and just the right crust consistency on the outside. It makes a roll about the size of a store-bought hot dog bun. I set the tray on a rack that I believe came with a roasting pan that has since been retired, so as not to reduce airflow but provide support to the pan itself. I would recommend it, just be aware of the size of the finished product and be sure that's what you're going for.

Have searched high and low forever for a pan that would allow me to bake hot dog size buns. Thats the plus - perhaps I didnt understand the description but I was not expecting something as bendable as this pan. It's a nice concept but flimsy. Have to be careful when moving the pan as it bends and the rolls can come popping out. It also would be nice to have one that produced more than four buns at a time. Not regretting the purchase, but there are features I would have preferred to see

I used it to make hot-dog buns. It worked very well, it imparts some shape to the bottom but is not overly rigid. Easy to use, little prep or cleaning needed.

I have a couple of Lekue Baking apparatus, and they are FANTASTIC! Well constructed, does the job to perfection, and makes achieving a good baked product really easy.These are for “mini†Baguettes, which is what I was looking for. Many people do not read the ads completely for size, construction, and useage. For my household, these are a perfect size which enable me to have fresh bread on hand at all times. Purchase it, you will not be disappointed.
