Twice as durable as our previous generation when cutting through metal, this bi-metal hole saw features thicker walls to minimize tooth loss and improve durability. A staircase SPEED SLOT has a wide slot placed low on the hole saw and multiple leverage points to make it easy to work plugs out with a screwdriver. This design effectively removes sawdust and chips and helps prevent plugs from becoming stuck in the saw. 10% taller than previous models, it delivers cleaner cuts through two-by lumber.

I'm using this in an industrial setting and it has performed very well. Cutting holes in 1 1/4" laminated particle board work surfaces. Cuts right through many, many surfaces without becoming dull. Trying to cut down on costs, I have tried many other hole saws including the and depending on what you're trying to cut through, it's actually a great saw. However it doesn't work for me because the ejection slot is very hard to work with, because of the depth of the surfaces I'm cutting. The "Speed Slot" ejection slots on this Lenox hole saw are invaluable for ejecting the plugs. That feature alone sells me on this saw. Some of the other saws I've tried have wobbled like a virgin's knees in a cathouse. That can become pretty dangerous and just plain no fun. I have yet to have one of these even slightly out of round. I'll continue to order these hole saws, because it seems as though it is better than any of the many others I've tried.***Wife edit-- a virgins knees? Really? Thats what comes to mind when you think of saw blades? What a weirdo.

I have several Lenox hole saws of different sizes that I have used over the past 10 years( that is when I discovered Lenox) and I am still amazed at the steel cutters ability of these super high quality hole saws. The last one I used is a one inch diameter, it cut a hole through 3/8†angle iron AND IT IS STILL SUPER SHARP!!!Just remember 300 -400 rpm on the drill. If I could give 10 stars, I would!Worth every penny!

I was worried that this would be a one-use item for drilling metal. I am pleased to report that worry was unfounded. That being said, it is clearly designed to drill through wood and it drills through wood extremely quickly and cleanly. On metal, unless you are using a drill press and have the target material very securely tightened down, the teeth have a tendency to walk about a little bit, as in the center is not perfectly centered in relation to the diameter, resulting in a slightly wider hole than the outer diameter of the saw. This is to the order of 1/16 to 1/10 which is not heinous, but all the same is not exactly a precision instrument. For my purposes though it performs spendidly and carves through 1/16" sheet steel as fast as I need it to, and have done so as many times as I have needed to without any observable dulling.

Tougher than your “average†holesaw, and with reasonable care to avoid nails or masonry, will remain sharp and last a long time. We have used it to cut well over 100 holes in 2x dried treated pine, and still cuts well.

Amazing. I ordered this to drill hole to install tube for letting an hamster walkibg through a tube maze in the house. The problem is i took the hole saw a little bit small for the size of the hamster. I didnt expect this little rat would fill up his mouth with a monstreous amount of nuts and got stuck in the tube, in the wall. Worked around for hours while my 2 years old daughter was crying to get back his hamster while I was swearing at this little p!!! of s$&!!. I ended up tearing up half of the wall to extract rhis stuck hamster. Wife was yelling at me for this bad idea at the first beginning. Ended up with a half torn wall, uncloged hamster. The bice point is this holesaw is having compagny with me while I sleep on the couches. The down side is this hamster making noise while running in his cage. Would recommand 100%

Used to make a hole in a metal cabinet. At this diameter, it must be used with a drill press or a magnetic drill. Can't be used with a standard hand drill, or only with soft materials such as wood or drywall.

Je travaille beaucoup avec des hole saw et ils sont de loins les plus durables sur le marché. 3 fois plus durable que dewalt et Milwaukee. Un produit parfait!
