About this item

  • 2X more durable with 50% longer life than previous LENOX hole saws
  • Increased wall thickness improves durability and minimizes tooth loss
  • Optimized tooth design penetrates metal with ease
  • Larger, sharper teeth for faster cutting
  • SPEED SLOT staircase design for easy plug ejection

The LENOX Tools Bi-Metal Speed Slot Hole Saw with T3, 1"-25mm, has enhanced tooth geometry that cuts 50% faster than previous LENOX hole saws. Twice as durable as our previous generation when cutting through metal, this bi-metal hole saw features thicker walls to minimize tooth loss and improve durability. A staircase SPEED SLOT has a wide slot placed low on the hole saw and multiple leverage points to make it easy to work plugs out with a screwdriver. This design effectively removes sawdust and chips and helps prevent plugs from becoming stuck in the saw. 10% taller than previous models, it delivers cleaner cuts through two-by lumber.

I had to purchase a specific size to cope some angle iron (stainless steel) for mounting against some stainless tubing. I was told the stainless would work harden, etc, but no fear, take it slow (60rpm), with lots of pressure (and a little lube) and the hole saw made 24 cuts through 3/16 stainless without issue. The cope fit the tubing nearly perfect, just a quick die grind of the edge to remove a small burr, then a wash, and it was ready for TIG welding. It definitely helps to have a rigid setup, and would suggest a tube notcher if the budget allows. I've modified mine to accommodate different types of stock material, which saves considerable time and cost over using a milling machine.I purchased 2 of these just in case. I never opened the second box, and the first is nearly as sharp as new, without a single broken tooth. I've always had the best luck with Lenox hole saws, and with the amazing price on this site, they are actually a really good deal.

Firstly I am only a home handyman. A useful review for this item should be made by a trades-person who uses this size hole saw to death. Anyway for what it is worth, I initially purchased this size saw for a specific job and have used this hole saw on mild steel (18 gauge) about 6 times, on 1 1/2 inch hardwood probably the same number of times, and subsequently on softwoods and plaster walls/ceilings. All up probably about 25-30 holes. It makes the holes in all the materials neat enough for my purposes I am not doing precision woodwork here! The elongated holes on the side walls are great for removing cut material and the wall thickness enough to withstand any distortion that may otherwise occur because of levering the cut-out out with a thin screwdriver. The hole saw is still OK to use ,although I have not had the requirement for holes in metal recently. For my purposes it has already done a good job for the money. From now on in it is all plus!

I used this saw to cut the holes in my corn hole boards. I used a battery operated drill and set the clutch so if the saw did get into a bind, it would stop rather than twist the drill motor out of my hands. It worked just fine and cut through the plywood easily and quickly. I have always been happy with Lenox quality and this saw met my expectations. This is more expensive then the Chinese counterparts but is worth the extra in my opinion.

Great price and a good addition to my set of Lennox hole saws. I've been using these hole saw for cutting wood, plastic and metal and have had good results.

I was part way through running some plumbing vent pipe through multiple studs when my other 2 1/4" saw got too dull to continue. It is fairly old now. Popped this one on and got back to work. Only it has fairly fine teeth, and they would be great on a finished wood countertop where you don't a ragged edge to you cut, but in doing rough-out work I'd much prefer a hole saw with more aggressive teeth.I did finish up what needed to get done that day, but it was a lot harder work than was necessary.. And with about 15 more holes to drill I think I might look for something else, or use one of my larger hole saws and shoot some foam insulation in to hold the pipe in place.

Fit my mandrel and cut a good hole through my custom made wood door.

I have been an electrician since 1975 and have used all kinds of hole saws. Lennox has been the best and now with their recent improvements they are now by far the best. Battery operated tools cut faster and last longer and the job is done better with these blades.

Lenox is the one brand of hole saws (and mandrels) I have found to be consistently, reasonably reliable and accurate without costing an arm and a leg. This one is no exception.

These are the best bi-metal hole saws on the market. They are hands down the fastest and longest lasting hole saws, especially noticeable when used for cutting steel. They can even handle plugging through the walls of shipping containers which are a tougher type of steel called Corten steel. For reference, I am a professional and also use other brands of hole saws like Starrett, Milwaukee, Bosch, and Ridgid (the pro line, not the box store ones). Whenever possible I buy these Lenox hole saws instead.

Der Hersteller sagt, in der Produkt-PDF auf der Homepage, dass es drei Kategorien für div. Materialien gibt - "Good", "Better" und "Best".
