We love this water bottle! It is so easy to use on the trail, especially since we invested in the shoulder strap carrier to go with it. Our dogs hear the squirt sound and get excited for a drink. Its easy to let any extra water flow back into the bottle if they don't finish.For two medium size dogs that hike on hot days in summer, they'll quickly drain this bottle. But a bigger bottle would mean more weight for us to carry. So we use other water bottles that the dogs carry in their own backpacks to refill this one as needed.This is lightweight and easier to use than the hard plastic style dog bottles that have a hard cup on them.I do wish that that the shoulder strap on the carrier had a soft pad on it. It can rub your neck/shoulder on a long hike. And this carrier isn't really sized for the dogs to carry it themselves. Would be cool to have that feature!

I had two Yorkies that went to work every day with me. One had kidney disease and drank a LOT of water. I was constantly fighting my Yeti lid on the way home to open it for her so she could drink water on the 30-minute drive home. I needed something that was easier to handle for her for those car rides home. This one is PERFECT! I really can't express enough how easy it is to use and SO MUCH BETTER than those other dumb dog water bottles that I've seen that have a giant bowl that sticks out on the one end. I love how the little bowl part folds down on this and it does not leak AT ALL! It was so much easier to hold and use for her on our drives home too. I would buy this water bottle over and over again and also as a gift for any new dog owners!

Look at newer reviews!!Handy bottle to have. I have 2 big dogs that we often take out, I was looking for something for road trips. I'm sure this would be great for short hikes as well (depending on how much water your dog needs).This bottle allows me to give the dogs water from the front seat while the car is moving. Before, I would set a bowl on the center console. Now, I have to hold the bottle over my shoulder, but the portability is worth it. This fits in a regular cup holder!! (though it's a bit snug.)We just returned from 2 weeks on the road and I knew we needed a better solution than either stopping the car or balancing a bowl on a bumpy road.I saw past reviews with concerns I had as well, but the company has heard consumers and improved the product. You no longer have to put your hand into the water bowl to lock it. So, I can squeeze water into the bowl and lock from the outside - very good improvement. Not difficult to squeeze. My dog drinks a lot of water; I found it useful to continue squeezing the bottle as she drinks to keep the bowl filled for her. There was a small bit of water left in the bowl, despite trying different things for the suction to bring it back down. However, if I had let my dog continue licking once it was almost empty, she probably would have dried the bowl enough with her tongue. But they don't always finish the bowl! I dumped the water out the window but I wasn't looking forward to folding down the bowl with the water/slobber still there. Not really an issue, though. Dog life.The whole big dog snout fills the bowl, and still makes a big mess because they are sloppy. But I no longer have to delicately fill a bowl and monitor it. Holds decent amount, we can easily refill from our bottles.Recommended!

I'm loving this little handy water bottle. I've been trying to be cautious with the respiratory illness that has been going around - not letting my dog drink from communal water bowls. This handy little bottle has been great. I can bring it with us on walks as well. I wasn't sure if she would take to it since the bowl area is so small, but she loves it. She's a husky mix. I also like the option to lock it shut or lock it to keep water in the bowl area. It will come in handy on our upcoming road trip as well. And I love the teal color!

Works great! My puppy has no problem drinking out of it. Easy to use.Only con is the open/closed label is hard to read. Not a big deal as you’ll start to remember the position.

I absolutely love these, this is my second purchase because I have 2 large active dogs & summer is on its way. I love the design, simplicity & ease. The design is much better (& simpler) than any other I’ve come across. Its compact, neat & the right shape & size for the dog to get a decent drink/lap up the water. Also because of design there is no waste because can let left over water go back into bottle with ease (obviously not the cleanest then but if needs be that extra bit could be a life saver!)

Did a lot of research and tried some as well before I purchased this one. The quality is fantastic, the design is great. The handle us super comfortable to hold the bottle around my wrist and is perfectly sized to not fall off or be too tight. Its the perfect shape and the fact that the handle is in the middle of the bottle means the weight is distributed so eavenly that I often times forget I have it with me. Size is great for my large bernedoodle. The design is flawless you can tell a lot of thought went into it, the button to close the valve works perfectly and it never leaks.

Never leaked. The dog loves drinking out if it. The water sucks back in so no waste. Light weight. I tried many other ones and none compare to this one. 5*+
