I am impressed by the holding power. To test I inserted both 12 AWG solid copper and 22 AWG stranded copper. Neither would budge during a rather strenuous straight pull test. I was expecting the 22 AWG to separate but it held tight. The 12 AWG wouldn't budge with straight pulling but would release with twisting while pulling. However, the twisting while pulling isn't a situation one would generally expect during normal use of these lever nuts. I doubt a wire nut would do as well.I am impressed with these fasteners. Being UL Listed indicates that they will properly carry the design electrical current.I recommend these lever nuts.

Nothing like Wago, do not bother. Great they are UL listed as many on here are not nor do they specify, but unless these were considerably cheaper than WAGO, stick with the orange and clear classics. Wires pull out of these with almost no resistance, yet, trying to open the levers, you’d think with the resistance it would hold 200lb weights once secured- yet not the case. I don’t often leave reviews but I feel very annoyed that I wasted my money…SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

These might seem expensive but if you do a lot of repairs these are the easiest and safest way to go. Wire nuts work pretty well with two wires but any more than that not so good. Romex wire is tough to twist together, three is harder, five is impossible. These are just as easy to remove and reroute wires in box as they are connecting, the simple lever system works for 24-12AWG wires. The 78 PC kit comes with 34 two wires, 26 PC three wires and 18 PC five wire connectors. Once you start using this type of wire nuts you won’t go back.

I wanted to like these because they look neat but they are larger than regular WAGOs and snap close easily if no wire is inserted yet pinching your fingers
