The "Leviton 61-W 660W 125V Polarized Outlet-to-Lampholder Adapter" works as expected. I use it to test bulbs to make sure they work before putting them on a socket.

Socket had gray paint fingerprints on exterior. Had to clean off. Threaded insert seems shallow. Bulb threads sticking out of socket.

Nice, simple, sturdy and affordable product that does what it's supposed to! All you need is a bulb and an outlet and you're good to go. I use it with an LED lightbulb on a timer-activated power bar to provide consistent periods of "daylight" in my pet hedgehog's room. Works like a charm.

These worked great for my project. I was installing flame bulbs in an old, originally gas, fireplace and didn't want to do any wiring. I plugged three of these into a power bar, screwed in the flame bulbs, and voila - instant fire! They are a bit wobbly in the power bar, not sure why, but they work just fine.
