Great Little Reel!! This thing had no problem handling large crappie, bream and even a large bass with the drage set right! It comes already spooled with Mr. Crappie 4lb hi-vis line, which is great and what I normally would run on a reel like this anyway. I have mine paired with a Mr. Crappie Slab Shaker 10' rod and it is a blast to wear out some panfish on, and has became my favorite crappie fishing/jigging combo's! The reel has a really good anti-reverse feature, which I keep it on, or you can switch it with a leaver and use the handle to let line out, if that is something you are into. It has a really smooth front adjustable drag system and a really nice sound to let you know when a fish is pulling drag. So far it has been a great little reel, and I have caught a lot of great fish with it. In my opinion it's the best reel in its price point for its size, and I will be ordering another one.

Pretty good reel for a light build. I replaced the original line with 10lb braided Spiderwire line. So far I like the way it performs.

First reel works great in a light action crappie rig. Liked it so much I just purchased a second reel. I switched the reel handle to the right side as I prefer reeling r-handed. Caught 100 plus crappie so far and it performs great!

Needed a new crappie reel and decided on this one. Have bought other Lew's reels and really like them. Got this one in and mounted to my rod and tied on a jig and went after some crappie. My first tip on this reel is to go ahead and swap out the line that comes on the reel. Has a lot of memory, so go ahead and put on fresh line. But, other than that the reel cast very smoothly, reels smoothly, just what I expected from Lews. I caught a good limit that day and the reel performed flawlessly. Going to order another one before fall Crappie season.

It took a little longer to get here than most. I love the feel of this reel. It paired really well with a 5 ft ultralight rod I had just purchased. I have not used this reel yet but it spooled up easily. The price of this was lower than that of reels of similar quality. It actually has more bearings than most at this price point.
