This developer unit resolved my printing issue. The issue was that when I printed, white paper would be tinged pink (magenta) throughout. When I examined the imaging kit, I noticed all the developer units EXCEPT the magenta unit, had clean, shiny blue "rollers" on the bottom. The "roller" on the magenta developer unit on the other hand, was covered with toner powder. There was a line of magenta toner powder on the brownish film-like surface beneath the developer units. Although lexmark advises not to touch it, I nevertheless cleaned it off with a moist soft cloth, and then gently dried it with a dry soft cloth. I also had to clean off a black "roller" in the front of the machine just above the paper tray. This roller was also covered in magenta toner powder. Once again, I used a moist rag and wiped this roller bar clean. After all the cleaning and installation of this new developer unit, the printer works great once again. The defective developer unit still contained quite a bit of toner powder. I will use this powder to refill the magenta toner cartridge. (I'll still have to buy toner cartridge CHIPS though -- as I am not aware of any way to reset these chips. There probably is a way, I just don't know what it is.)

Both units failed and leaked toner all through the machine and stand. Discarded machine and replaced.

The supplier delivered another piece that did not fit to my printing machine and is completely useless to me. The tragedy is that the delivery address in the UK is of a friend of mine who was coming to Cairo, Egypt and I asked him to receive it and bring it to me in Egypt as a favor. Now that I received the item in Cairo and found out that it is a wrong piece, I do not know what to do with it or how to replace it.

Make sure you read carefully, as I didn't.If you're like me, you see a picture (at the time of this writing) of a familiar Toner Cartridge, and in the description that says "Black". I looked at the price, which was also similar to the other actual toner cartridges I was buying in the same order and thought I was ordering a black toner cartridge. Essentially, my mistake, except for the misleading picture.What I got was the black developer unit, of course and I was surprised.I'm not returning the unit, because eventually I'll need it anyway, I'm sure... but next time I will read more carefully. Maybe someone will see this review and not make the same mistake.

Bestimmte Teile eines Laserdruckers unterliegen wie beim Auto einen natürlichen Verschleiß. Es ist ein Rechenexempel, ob man bereit ist, weiter in dieses Druckermodell zu investieren oder eine Neuanschaffung in Erwägung zu ziehen. Da ich noch große Mengen an Toner besitze, werde ich noch eine weile die Verschleißteile erneuern. Preis und Lieferung waren in Ordnung.

Es ist für den starkten gebrauch von einem Lexmark C544 angeschafft worden und es hält sein Versprechen. Würde dieses Profdukt immer wieder über Amazon kaufen.

Für den Preis gibt es gute Ware. Der Toner wird im Drucker erkannt und die Kalibrierung erfolgt sehr gut. Gerne immer wieder.
