UPDATE: The seller reached out and offered me a full refund or a replacement. I went for the replacement since my pups really needed to have their paws trimmed! The replacement trimmer arrived quickly and this one seems just fine. I was able to trim with it. It was very quiet and gentle on my papillon's delicate paws.This is what happened after I used it once. Unfortunately I didn't use it right away, so I can't return it. My dog weighs ten pounds and I was trimming the paws lightly.

This works really well. We use it to trim the fur around our dogs paw pads. It is quite enough that the sound doesn't scare them but still powerful enough to get all the hair. Charging is easy and hold a charge for a good amount of time. Doesn't cause any damage to their paws.

Works well for ears and I would imagine it would work well for a smaller dogs paws. I have a mountain dog with thick fur. It doesn’t work so well with trimming the fur under her paws but works well under her ears.I would recommend for dogs with short to medium coats, would not recommend for dogs with thicker coatsI love the light feature that’s very awesome and convenient.

I used this trimmer on my dog's paws last night. She is usually very skittish about her paws being touched, but she lay on my lap and let me trim the fur from under her paws. Now she won't slide on our wood floors. It was very quiet and the light shines on the part you are trimming.

I really didn’t have high expectations for this (it is very inexpensive), but it beyond exceeded my needs. It has power, fits nicely in small spaces. Cuts without the risk of injury. Is not noisy so the doggies are calm when it is used. Get it, it was a game changer, for mats behind the ears… and I didn’t even know the top toe hair on my girl was matted, until I started the grooming. Really a nice product!

This paw trimmer is great for dogs, feels very safe so I’m not worried to accidentally cut their paw. The noise level is low so my dog doesn’t seem to mind it much. The battery life is long lasting and it’s an excellent value for the cost. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is ease of use. Based on videos I’ve seen, I’d expect it to take off all the fur in one swipe but that was not the case, it took a few repetitions. It is very easy to clean, and easy to use as someone who has never trimmed a dog’s paws.
