Installation was a little bit easier than I expected given the weight of the unit. Things were helped by the fact that the cooling unit smoothly and easily slid out of the mounting frame. After installing the frame into the window opening the cooling unit slid easily back in - no snags or rough edges to catch on.All the parts were in the package and they all fit as they were supposed to. After plugging the unit in and turning on the power I let the unit run on its default settings while I set the air deflectors. It cooled the building fairly quickly. So far (about a month), I have not had any problems.A couple of things worth mentioning are:1. When using the thermostat the unit's fan will turn on once every three minutes to sample the air to determine whether the compressor needs to turn on. It is a little be distracting at first but it is pretty quiet and I do not notice it now. The frequency of the noise from turning on every three minutes is why I gave it a 4 on noise, but it is a very quiet running machine.2. The cord is rather short and comes out of the unit on the right side as you are facing it. You should measure carefully to make sure it will reach your outlet. I thought I had at least 6 inches to spare but really missed by about an inch. It is in a shop and I installed my own outlets with conduit along the walls so I was able to relocate the outlet by just enough to reach without doing any major work, but I was a little but lucky.3. We have only had a couple of days above 80 degrees so far this year so i made my judgement, "lots of cooling power", based on the speed with which it brought the temp down. However, it is an all metal building so the temps would not be bearable inside without a/c, even in the low 80's and even though it is will insulated. If it turns out to be unable to handle temps in the 95-105 range I will update. So far, though, I have not used anything beyond the lowest settings so it seems likely that there will not be an issue.4. The review tool asks to rate the energy efficiency. It is too soon to tell. I thought that leaving it blank might calculate as a zero in the averages so I gave it a 4. It might be a 5.update: (4/14/22) My shop is a 30x30 metal building and last summer I kept the temp set at 78 when I was out and down to 72 when I was using it. It cooled quickly and maintained a low temp easily. I have used energy saver and low fan speed almost exclusively. This is in Texas where the average high was around 95 or so for June through September. So I would say it has lots of cooling power. Also, I did not have a electric bill above 90 during that time, including shop lights and various machinery. The shop is well insulated but, still, I would say it is efficient.

Best window A/C unit I've ever owned. Efficient and effective at cooling a small summer cottage. Very quiet compared to an old noisy unit this replaced. Easy to install and setup. And the wifi connection and app control from anywhere are a huge bonus. Highly recommend.

1. It’s is quiet. 2. It is not an energy hog. I’m saving on my electric bills. 3. It will blow very cold air. 4. Energy saver function works just like a home thermostat. 5. It was easy to install.I could go on and on about the qualities of this AC. I searched Internet AC reviews and videos, as well as Amazon reviews for 2 weeks before purchasing this LG AC. Awesome product.

Only one week in but so far it’s been really great! Much more powerful than the one it replaced of the same BTU’s. Super quiet on low, dry, and sleep modes. I don’t even notice it’s on, can finally watch TV without turning the AC off. WiFi feature is great too. Couple of issues is why I took off a star. Remote control sometimes loses connection with unit and must use app. Sometimes starting it up on high cool is a bit noisier than normal, but I turn it down for a few minutes, then back to high fixes it. Minor annoyances that I will accept considering how happy I am overall with this unit. Will update if anything changes. As of now, very happy I chose this model.

I bought this 6000 BTU to use in my living/dining room area, so about the size of 2 open rooms. Let me first say that I placed into the delivery instructions to put the AC on the back side of my house. Ignored, front steps is where it laid all day waiting for someone to take it. 2nd, there was a hole about the size of a baseball on the side of the box, okay, is it time to start worrying? Then came installing the unit into window. Weight wise, it is not for weaklings. I have a 6000 BTU Haier in the bedroom, 1/2 the weight and twice the noise. So, struggled to get the unit into the window frame, and then had to lay down for a while - twas quite the workout. Before recovery, I turned the unit on. The compressor was so quiet, I thought the AC was not working. Then, in just a bit, the cool air started pouring out. Right now, I love everything about it. Nice design, nice remote, not cheaply built at all and best of all, it hardly makes a sound. Really, hardly makes any noise. I'm hoping to get 4 years, max 5 before buying another unit. Let's see.

I recently purchased the LG LW2422IVSM 23,500 Dual Inverter Smart Window Air Conditioner, and unfortunately, I couldn’t even test its performance due to a misleading product description. This AC unit requires a specific type of 220V electric outlet with horizontal blades, which is not commonly found in most homes. The product description fails to mention that there are various types of 220V outlets, including those with straight blades, angled blades, and other configurations. This critical piece of information should have been clearly stated upfront, perhaps with a “BEFORE YOU BUY†warning. This omission led to a significant inconvenience: I had to return the item that was unpacked and almost installed, and the seller received a product that can no longer be sold as new.The emotional dissatisfaction and disappointment were compounded when I discovered I was not alone in this predicament. According to LG customer service, they have received thousands of similar complaints. It’s puzzling why LG does not take proactive steps to warn customers and prevent such issues from arising in the first place. In conclusion, if you are considering this air conditioner, ensure that your home has the appropriate 220V outlet with horizontal blades. Otherwise, you may face the same frustration and disappointment I experienced. I hope LG improves their product descriptions to save future customers from this hassle. The item has been returned.
