The new springs fit perfectly and control the movement of the washing machine drum much better than the "original" springs which had been in service for approximately five years.Removing the "old" springs and installing the new springs requires physical strength and some resourcefulness regarding finding or creating an appropriate "spring stretcher" tool.I had no trouble removing the "old" springs by myself, however, I recommend having a helper available to assist with the installation of the new springs.
