This is my first 65" TV and I have been enjoying it for almost a week now. I am delighted by the outstanding, or should I say amazing image quality of the OLED display. The black levels are truly great, contrast is perfect and the brightness is very, very good. Overall the image is extremely balanced offering an enchanting experience. To my surprise I did not have to play with any of its multiple video modes or tune any image in any way. In fact I am using the standard video setup, the one it came with out of the box, with the AI enabled and that's it, end of story!! I watch tennis, movies, news programs, name it... and they all look amazing!! Why mess around with perfection?I use this TV mostly as a display with wireless headphones, hooked up to an Xfinity X1 cable box. The cable box is connected to WiFi and brings in all the apps and various video services, like Netflix, Amazon Prime and such. I did not even connect the TV to the internet and I skipped the respective setup. As such, after selecting the right video input from the input button on the "Magic Remote" provided by LG with the TV, and after pairing my TV with the X1 box remote control, I was in business. I did not have to change anything!! That's real Magic!!The unboxing was made much easier by the "Unboxing Video" for this TV on the respective Amazon web page for the LG CX TV. Great video indeed, much better than anything I got from LG to tell you the truth!!I understand that my setup is minimal for this kind of TV, but this is what I need right now and I am glad that I could cut through the clutter of many features and setups and options and get exactly what I needed.I would note that the User Help on the TV itself is quite helpful and the mouse like feel of the "magic remote" is great. The cursor goes away by itself or if you use any arrow button. Not a problem at all!! (I am saying this related to some comments I saw on Amazon CX TV page, related to this. )Having a standard Audio Out output was a big plus for me and this is what made me buy this model over previous models, as I was targeting buying an OLED TV for years!! Strange isn't it?? I know!!Overall, a very happy customer, though I would suggest LG to put the unboxing video on their CX TV support website!! This one is a keeper! Enjoy it every day!!Well, before the Tokyo Olympic Games I bought also a 77" CX and I like it even more.

After much research and going back and forth on upgrading my display for gaming, I finally settled on the LG CX48 for my main gaming PC "monitor". I am 100% glad I went with this model. Like the title of this review states, your opinion on standard LED backlit gaming monitors will forever be ruined after going to OLED. This LG is jaw dropping gorgeous. This is the best picture quality you can get for gaming currently, nothing compares. OLED holds the crown for picture quality, period. The LG OLED made my old 27" 1440p LED monitor look like trash in comparison and I cannot believe that's what I previously using for so long. At first, the 48" size almost seemed to large for desktop use. 2 weeks of use later and after adjusting to it, the size is awesome. It feels right at home now.Setup was a fairly quick. Initially I did run into a some Gsync flickering upon first boot up. After the current firmware update on the TV from LG and adjusting some settings, everything runs flawless. Just keep in mind, to take full advantage of this display for gaming (4K, 120hz Gsync, 10bit Color) you will have to pair this with an Ampere 3000 series card from Nvidia, or...one of the new 6000 series cards from AMD. These are currently the only video cards with HDMI 2.1 ports. After the firmware update and fresh drivers from Nvidia, gaming on this display is incredible. Compared to my old 27" 1440p Gsync IPS display, I cannot tell any difference between input lag or response time with this CX48 in gaming mode. So far, I've played Horizon Zero Dawn, Black Ops Cold War, A Plague Tale and currently Cyberpunk 2077 on this without issue, and every game looks and runs amazing."Burn In" seems to be a hot topic with OLED's currently, and it can be an issue depending on usage, etc. For desk top use, you'll have to take some precautions if you're going to use a display like this. Task bar hidden, all desk top icons removed, only full motion desk top wall papers or solid color back grounds should be used. These type things should help alleviate any potential OLED burn in.One last thing, I won't use them a huge amount, but the OS and smart features on this LG seem to work great and are pretty snappy. Pulling up Netflix or Prime Video is very quick. Watching movies on this is exactly what you'd expect on an OLED this size. Beautiful. If you're currently on the fence about upgrading your monitor for gaming and you have the hardware to do it, buy this LG CX48. This, in my opinion, is the current King of gaming displays. It doesn't get any better than this.

I needed a replacement for an older plasma television that got a section of it that stopped working. It feels like you have to study a degree just to figure out which TV to purchase. This TV is excellent in all the areas. It has multiple inputs as often TVs have reasonable specifications but do not have enough inputs. No one wants to be plugging out and in things every 2 seconds. I have an Amazon firestick connected which works seamlessly. I have a Nintendo Switch that gets connected, a Xbox 360 that works well on it and more recently my newer Xbox Series X which looks stunning. I have an internet TV box from my internet provider that also works well on it. I can link it with my computer and display games over there. I can cast my phone audio or video to my TV.It is very thin, I have mine mounted and it can go flat against the wall. It updates frequently and I have no issues with how it functions. It even displays DVDs through a player for those who still have those. I love the almost bezel-less appearance. The sound is great, there is a very slight delay between my TV and the soundbar that I bought so we usually use 1 or the other. The native sound from the TV is great though. The video quality is exceptional and it shows everything extremely well.

This tv takes my breath away. This is my first OLED TV and I am in love. Its everything I wanted when it comes to watching tv shows or movies. To get that life like image and for it to be more realistic set it on smooth for truemotion you would be mind blown. I literally watch The Shallows and it is just in HD and this tv shows the video super crystal clear even when the scene is under water just wow. I highly recommend to go on YouTube and look up settings for Dolby Version and HDR but remember to actually watch a Dolby Version content to set up Dolby Version settings etc. I notice a huge difference in game mode and it's awesome. Super bright than my old RCA 4K tv which isn't close to the movies or shows being realistic. I would highly recommend this tv to a friend or anyone. And oh btw the volume for this tv is insane when you turn on Dolby Atmos at volume 12 is loud. I'm very impressed with this tv I already have a LG phone so to have a LG Tv is a bonus. You won't be disappointed. And I rarely write reviews that's to tell you how much I had to give my input on how much I love this tv. Queen LG CX.An Update: My tv is still doing great. No Burn in whatsoever. What I love about this tv also is the pixel refreshes when your not using the tv and its turned off.Another update: My tv is still in excellent working condition as of August 4th 2023. Brought tv in 2021.

I have had CX 77 inch for about 2 weeks now. My main use for this TV is connecting with PC for occasional movies and gaming. I have not hooked up to AV receiver so I use the internal TV speakers for sound. For physical appearance and build quality, this TV gets top score. Minimalistic design with a solid rigid metal plate covering the rear side of the panel speak volumes in a quality department.Picture quality is top notch. Very good colour right out of box. You will get some unevenness with screen uniformity (google it if you don't know what it is) but mine is relatively clean to my eyes and certainly not a problem watching a normal content.WebOS is joy to use and swiching tv apps to hdmi inputs and vice versa is easy and seamless. Apps load and function pretty snappy.Sound from this tv is pretty good. In my opinion, it should meet average listeners need but if you are demanding audiophile or have a concert hall, you might want to use dedicated HT systemSome cons.Stand. Although it does the job, but the tv wobbles when you touch it. But it is there for viewing not touching. This can be pro for some, but it has very complicated picture control. If you want to calibrate this tv to fine tune a picture accuracy then you need to hire a professional calibrator to do the job. Or buy tools and DIY.Reflection is real but it will be only problem if cannot stand it or your space has many light sources. In my living space where it has large windows, doesn't bother me too much.Burn in. I guess burn in can happen, but the tv comes with some excellent tools to combat this risks. I have not noticed any IR or burnins with my set so far, but I don't worry about it. I tend to baby things at beginning but TV is meant to be used and after few years I won't care about it anyways

This TV has stunning picture quality! It absolutely resonates with quality and is the benchmark for all others to be judged by. I am completely thrilled with this TV and as an added bonus it has impressive sound quality. It has an amazing refresh rate, a great collection of inputs, deep color, and a high quality build. Although expensive it is well worth the cost.

I've always been hesitant to purchase an OLED TV due to burn in issues, but this TV is too good to pass up for that.Picture quality is soooo good with blacks being pure black on OLED, and HDR contents finally look the way they are supposed to be. Dolby Vision makes it just unbelievably gorgeous to look at the scenes from the shows that support it.Sound quality is also pretty good, but I live in a studio about 7~8 feet away from the TV so take that into consideration. I don't have complaints about its bass or treble with its speakers as I'm not an audiophile with gold cables connected to speakers.Using the apps with WebOS is also straight forward and no manual is needed to install or uninstall them.Overall, this TV will leave anyone satisfied with it as long as you don't let it burn in by watching content with static images on the screen for too long. (news channels with logos or bars, sports games with scoreboards, youtube 10 hours of music with static image)

Maybe my expectations were too high, but this TV did not wow me. For something that costs nearly twice as much as a standard LED, it's definitely not twice as good. Still, it's a very good TV and I'm satisfied with it.
