Press down on the end of the top cover.
The top cover is completely removable when flipped up at 90 degrees.
When slicing, use a hand guard to protect your fingers and not waste ingredients.

I had a vegetable chopper I loved (for years) but one of the blades broke on the chop I used most often so I got this as a replacement. It works really well. You get a uniform professional chop, faster than I could cut things up myself, and the fact that they are the same size means they will all cook at the same rate (yeah!). It really helps make a soup, etc... look a lot more conventionally store made. Truthfully I really only use the one pattern so far too chop with, and probably will most. With the tool that comes with it to comb the chopper part that works well. The bottom piece took some finagling with it to find out how the two pieces will come apart for easer cleaning. And I still have to fiddle with it a lot to get them apart. They do come apart, although I saw no instructions that told me that.

I bought this item for a specific purpose, to chop fresh tomatoes for bruschetta. It worked perfectly. I sliced the tomatoes before putting them in the chopper and they came out just exactly as I had hoped. The smaller screen worked perfectly for the fresh garlic. I'm sure I will find many other uses for this kitchen helper. It also cleans up very easily. It is well made, works how it's supposed to, and very reasonable price.

Very useful but the lid part is hard to clean where it pushes the food down. The grid holds food and you need to clean it out with a knife or something thin. The metal grate part also holds food. But it’s all dishwasher safe so generally a useful tool.

I had the original on when they first came out. Unfortunately the lid broke and I ordered this one. It’s fit allbtgd attachments needed. Love it!

So far I’ve only used this product twice to dice onion. It was convenient to avoid all the dicing and watery eyes lol. But the cleaning process was work, even using the tool it comes with. Having to thoroughly scrape all the onion out of the crevices seemed like more work than the dicing would have been. But, overall it’s useful for what it’s for, to dice and chop.

I really like this product. It has amazing sharp blades which gets your chopping done very quickly and cleanly. It is easy to operate! I learned the hard way just how sharp those blades are. I did cut my thumb and I thought I was using caution. So I suggest you use extra caution. Those blades are sharp for a reason. Good product.

Took this out of the box, tried to cut a tomato which squished it beyond recognition. Tried an onion which got stuck in the blades and half pulverized it. Blades aren't sharp at all and can't get any torque on it since it closes at a hinge rather than up and down. This wouldn't last 30 seconds in a professional kitchen and for the at home cook maybe 2x as long tops. Don't waste your money or your time looking at this godawful disaster. If I could rate negative stars I would. I'll probably get my money's worth by taking it out back behind the restaurant and taking out my pent up rage after a rough dinner service on this thing a la "office space"
