Ordered this to have a spare in the case the first mouthpiece got lost. An average trumpet mouthpiece for an average price. Compatible with B flat trumpet. Works for beginners and intermediate players.

As an amateur, this has been a good mouthpiece.

I bought this for my 7 year old who wants to try some instruments. I was curious to see if she could make any noise with minimal instruction. Low and behold, she is a natural brass player. This was a great way to see if she has any natural ability or interest in discipline for the instrument.Beyond that, I don't have any training and can't tell you if this is a nice mouthpiece or not. I just know it makes noise and my daughter is excited to play trumpet when the time comes at school. If this is what you need, it seems pretty solid and well made to me. Great for the price too!

For a beginner/student this is a good starter trumpet mouthpiece.Beginner trumpet players should start with a 7C size mouthpiece. As the number decreases, the size of the mouthpiece increases, specifically the cup diameter. The letter refers to the cup depth. As you progress through the alphabet, the cup gets shallower. As you progress with practice and your lip embouchure improves you can move down to a 5C and then a 3C (professional player).Don't think if you start with a lower number mouthpiece you'll be a better player. Most school bands will start at a 7C.I can not though find where these are made. The seller's heading says "Libretto 7C Trumpet Mouthpiece, 2μm Silver Plated Bach Trumpet Mouthpiece..." I'm guessing it looks identical to a Bach mouthpiece it's not at all affiliated with Bach. That said, it's a nicely made trumpet mouthpiece (brass with a silver plating) at a low price.

I don't play brass instruments, but got this as a demonstration item for children who are learning about brass instruments. I could easily get a good sound out of it even with my limited knowledge of how to make it work. I let a college trumpet player take a look at it and he said it would not be something he would choose as an experienced trumpet player, but it seems to be just right for beginners like me.

I used to play trumpet back in high school and I decided to try picking it up again. After many years of sitting, I decided that it'd be best to get a new mouthpiece. This fit just as my old one did but without all the dings and mildew... :)I had no trouble picking up and playing it just as it were several years ago. Hard to go wrong with this mouthpiece, though a professional may want something a bit more.
