The 5mm part is the perfect size adapter for the scope probe for a Rigol DHO802. If the outside diameter of the probe is 4.60 mm then the 5mm will fit. You have to pick between 3 mm and '5mm' sizes. If you don't choose, the default is 3mm.

I purchased two of the 3.8mm adapters and both will not accept a 1mm diameter scope-probe-center-conductor-pin. A BNC center-conductor-pin is 1mm as well as many diameter scope-probe-center-conductor-pins. I recently purchased three of the 5mm adapters and will find out if they will accept a 1mm diameter scope-probe-center-conductor-pin.
