This bow costs less then rehairing a bow, so for a player looking for value, it’s great. The quality is impressive for the price. Perfect for a student or a casual hobby player or anyone on a budget. Probably not ideal for the concertmaster or soloist of a big orchestra.

The first thing I look for in a bow is how straight it is. This particular bow is straight. It did not come rosined which is normal for a new bow. If you get this bow prepare yourself for a lot of rubbing on rosin. It will not be usable as delivered and normally takes quite a while to apply. The second thing I look for is the camber. Violin bow camber refers to the curve or arc of the bow stick. Although this bow was ok it could have had more arc. The bow hair itself was quite good with no loose hairs. All in all, for the price, this bow is working well for me. I think you should be ok if you get one.

I was looking for a secondary bow when my primary bow is being serviced and I was curious about carbon fiber bows. I tried some in stores but they were not responsive or felt heavy or felt cheaply made. I ordered this bow because it was cheap and I could return it if I wasn't satisfied but after unboxing and playing with this bow, it definitely exceed my expectations. The weight and balance is right and I don't feel like I lose anything between this bow and my primary bow. The only negatives I could find is that the fit and finish isn't exactly perfect but overall this is a quality bow that I plan on keeping and using beyond a secondary bow.

I just got it today and put it to the test right away! Came packaged decently and properly loose. Took rosin amazingly and didn’t need too much. Practiced with it for a good 30 minutes and kept a good steady sound. Overall very nice bow! Might update this review in a month.

Although I did have some formal violin training as a pre-teen, at the age of 52 I am a total amateur who's just picking up an old fiddle again as a hobby. This bow is nothing fancy or too expensive, but well made, functional, and performs quite surprisingly well for my purposes.

Beautiful blue and we wanted to keep it but the bow was bent/curved wrong and couldn’t hold the hair right. Sadly we had to return it.
