I installed this part and it worked fine. I don't know about how well it will work long-term. Mine has only been in place one day. But it did/does work, without any programming.For others:1) My middle plug for the module was literally burned up and I had to replace it. That part is:Genuine GM Wiring Harness Connector 19368290I got mine on ebay.2) Don't overlook that you might have a blow fuse from when the old module self destructed. Mine was blown.

Update: Dropped rating to one star. This module caused the main computer to freak out again, stranding my wife. Had to pull it out of the car (2013 SRX).Update: Had to delete a couple of stars as the part caused my wife to be stranded. Somebody shut the liftgate manually again (at the grocery store) and my wife drove home fine and parked. Then went out again later. Car started fine BUT when she went to come home, it was dead - driver's door unlocked, but nothing else worked. Disconnecting the battery worked again to reset it. Too late to return it...Original review: Works without needing to be programmed and opens 2013 SRX liftgate to about 3 inches short of 100% using the remote or the switch on liftgate or in the front seat. It is okay to push the liftgate the last 3 inches open.However, my wife's nephew closed the liftgate manually a couple of weeks ago and it made the computer start to freak out and then blacked out her screens in the front of the car as she drove it home. The car was still drivable, but not being able to use the Cue screen is severely limiting on this car....I had to disconnect the battery for a few minutes in order to clear everything out.No problems since then, so I am keeping it.

Would work with side button and button on door but not keyfob. Changed keyfob battery and keyfob. Still would not work with keyfob. This is a good product if you dont need the keyfob. And your circumstances could be different.

This control module saved me $2500 from Cadillac! I have a 2013 Cadillac SRX and had the same problem as others. The sunroof leaked and destroyed the lift gate control module. I took a compressor and blew out the 4 hoses that drain the water from the sunroof, all which were clogged. Then ran hot water and vinegar through them to clean them and and watched the water come out from the bottom of the car as it should.Ordered this control module, took me 5 minutes to unplug the old one and plugged in the new one and worked without having to get programmed by Cadillac. I did remove the two lift gate fuses beforehand which may or may not have tricked the system that it was the same one, but it doesn’t hurt doing in case it does play a part.For this inexpensive module I saved A LOT of money. Thanks for making a great replacement. Highly recommend!

The product arrive with no issues! After installing, I tested the unit to make sure everything performs as expected. While everything seemed to perform as expected. One thing was noted! When you approach all the doors, you push a button on the corresponding door you want to open. When you have the key fob in your pocket, the door would unlock. Except with the lift gate. With the fob. I tried to push the button to unlock the lift gate and it would not work. I must remove my fob, unlock all the doors before the button on the lift gate would open. I can pull my fob out of my pocket to hold the lift gate button and that could open the lift gate. However, the product did not work like the original OEM Design, where as long as you have the key fob in you purse or pocket, you could just hold the button underneath the lift gate handle, hold down and the lift gate would open. I tried going to the manufacture site through Amazon and to no avail, it took me to another site that has nothing to do with the lift gate module. So I am writing this review. Good Luck.

I bought one, installed it, and it stopped working within a few weeks. Ordered a replacement and the same thing happened. I know it's tempting to get this part because the original is so expensive, but save yourself the headache. If you need to save money, go with a used original part. I got one on ebay and it's worked perfectly ever since. It cost me $120.
