Your cart is empty. LiftMaster 883LMW wired push button is a compact wall-mounted wired control for your garage door opener. This wired push button can also be used as a doorbell button. This single push-button control has on-board programming capability that makes it easy to program remote controls and MyQ enabled accessories. It features Security+ 2.0 rolling code technology that significantly reduces radio wave interference and makes it virtually impossible for anyone to steal your remote control signal. This newer version of the 883LM wall button puts quick control at your fingertips, without taking up too much space. It can be mounted conveniently in the garage by your access door to open the garage door with a push-button or outside the door to be used as a doorbell button. The remote push-button control attaches to the existing bell wire. Only one wall button should be used on any garage door opener. It is compatible with Chamberlain, Craftsman, LiftMaster, and other private label garage door openers made from 2011 and all Security+ 2.0 garage door openers that have a round yellow learn button and two yellow antennas.

If you have worn out your doorbell, this is a perfect replacement. It takes less than five minutes to install and it works just like the original. I highly recommend it.

This product came in what I would refer to as bulk packaging (clear plastic bag with the button, two screws and paper instructions). For my situation I ran wires from the opener to the original button and then wires from the original button to this product (acting as the second button). The yellow light on the button started blinking. To activate it for the opener I had to hold the button down for a couple seconds, release and hold it down again until the door started to move. The instructions say you may need to do this up to three times but in my case it only took two.The button itself is very straight forward. One area to press for open and close of your door. Another button on the side you press to turn the opener light on and off. While I did not test these features, the instructions indicate you can: 1) Start Wi-Fi programming (for openers that support Wi-FI) by pressing and holding the light button for six seconds and 2) Learn a new remote control by pressing and holding the light and push buttons until the yellow LED starts to blink then press the button on your remote that you want aligned to your opener.Please note, this model button only works with openers that have a YELLOW Learn button and a YELLOW antenna wire.If you are looking for a second button or a simple replacement button for your opener, this is an excellent choice.

I bought this to allow my Chamberlain garage opener to interface with a computer-controlled relay. This switch had to be modified for my use, but with a bit of soldering, my computer is now interfaced with my garage door.Most people will want to use this as a simple button to open/close the door. Before you buy take the time to see if your Chamberlain or LiftMaster door uses this button. Unlike other manufacturers, current LiftMaster/Chamberlain openers have complex security protocols that preclude the use of a simple switch. Though I can’t say for sure, this switch appears to get power from the opener, but communicate wirelessly, all in the interest of enhanced security.So, if you need this type of switch (as did I) this is the product for you. I’m happy with the purchase and seller. I’m not happy that a simple switch wouldn’t work. But that is a review of the garage door opener, not the switch. The sqitch works flawlessly.

Wired the switch as per instructions, turned on the power and the light in the switch started flashing as stated in the instructions. However no matter how many times I tried pressing the button quickly three times, I could not get it to operate the door opener. Subsequently I found, reading other reviews, this was a common problem.

Ordinary Door Bell Push Buttons do not work with a Chamberlain MyQ Garage Door Opener so I checked with Chamberlain before I purchased these push buttons to ensure that they were compatible. Their response was "Yes". They were easy to install and worked like a charm.

If you're upgrading an older garage door opener, where you had a simple remote doorbell switch to operate it, you'll need to upgrade to this switch to work with the new Security+ 2.0 system. Worked fine with the existing wiring and we're once again able to operate the door from inside the house.
