I groom my rescued English Angora about every 6 wks. I keep her wool short because she just feels better with the shorter length; she is more active and has more “spunkâ€. And she stays much cleaner and mat-free with shorter hair. I don’t really care how she looks; I just want her comfortable, safe and healthy. These scissors—and the awesome Gimars platinum-blade battery clippers also on Amazon—are my go-to tools for safe grooming! The blunt tips help me to avoid accidentally poking her skin, especially if she suddenly moves. And the curved shape helps me to stay away from the skin’s surface so as to not inadvertently cut her. You still have to be very careful, of course, and remain focused on what you’re doing, but these scissors help reduce my anxiety level when working in tight spaces such as along the belly, along the legs, down the chest and between the legs. They are comfortable to use and are inexpensive enough that I buy several at a time, tossing a pair when they get dull and switching to a new pair. I couldn’t function without them!

My toy poodle wouldn't tolerate clippers anywhere near her face. So I have to use the scissors more, than I really want to, but they do wonderful job and feel nice in a hands.

I used these to trim up my horse's fetlocks, and they were nice and sharp, but still had the safety ends, so I couldn't accidentally knick her. My only complaint is that there is no padding in handle, so not comfortable to use for long.

My Bichon dog needs to be trimmed very often, I can't afford to go to a groomer every time so I try to cut her in between. I wish it was a little sharper, that's why I gave it a four on easy to use and comfort, especially when I need to cut off some tangled hair. But I'm very happy with the rounded tips since my dog is moving around a little too much . I use a trimmer most of the time but around her ears I use the scissor (and when she get matted hair from being on wild adventures)

I was pleasantly surprised and 1) how well these cut.2) zippered case I now can keep nail clippers in too making it more convenient. 3) I feel safer trimming my dogs hair closer to his nose/ eyes & stuff.

I bought these to trim by my cockapoo puppies eyes, They Do No Work, they do not Cut when curved Inward, I read reviews and saw one video and I should have realized, but they seemed like a good deal.. They are not sharp enough and are Curved Outward; which means, they are good for shaping Top of head and the Bum and areas that are rounded ,but not for What i needed.. I watched a professional Groomer and her advice was to I purchase some baby safety scissors for the eyes; So i did and they work great. I will use these scissors for the round areas, I don't know if they will stay sharp for long... We will see, but nxt time Ill just spend more money and buy better Quality scissors ; My Pup is worth it.... So I am now looking for curved inward safety scissors ........

These are very helpful when trimming my yorkie’s face, feet, etc. Definitely recommend. The case is great, large enough for me to store the other different scissors I also use when grooming her. I’m not a professional groomer, but with these you’d never know!

The scissors are not sharp enough to cut the coat. You have to hold at an angle to achieve any sort of cut which is frustrating and painful. I have bought many curved scissors over the years and these have unfortunately been the poorest withAbsolutely no precision. I guess they do look nice.

They work well, but the tip of the shears do not cut that well. I often end up pulling on my dog's fur a bit.
